Ok, ok. I know not much, but it's started.

Had to run to horror freight to get those prop things this evening. Going to be a bit tedious, as I was jointer (ing ? Don't know what the past tense of running something across a jointer is.) Boards, I was just going till I got the side reasonably flat, then doing the other side, and didn't think about how much I was shrinking the width of the boards. So, I've been ripping two at a time as I'm going. Also realized I, some how, have a chip in my hand plane blade. 😳 so tomorrow morning after a run into town for a few things, I'll have to sharpen that. May pick up a smaller one while I'm in town. It kinda a two handed model, and I'm not quite coordinated to use it with one hand. It was my pops, so I'm also keen not to screw it up.

Looks good.
Are the things holding the insulation what you had printed off. Have you done anything with the printer, I know you were talking about the puzzle for your FIL(iirc).
Many times it's getting those first few done that takes the longest.
Those prop dealeos look like parts of a caulk gun on a pipe. Guess the car jack and the stick didn't work so well :innocent:.

Haha, yeah she's awesome. One of those later in life surprises that God blesses you with sometimes, but wouldn't want it any other way.
My two daughters with my wife weren't much of a surprise, figured out how that worked on the first 3. But, what was a surprise was that I could actually do anything with them. I had literally told my wife, any more and I cant help, physically I wasn't up for it. Then my second oldest daughters mom sent me a message to look up HLA-b27 after our daughter got some blood work done for back problems she was having. Long story short, I changed my diet, and went from having a hard time making it thru the day driving, to getting a job at 40 hauling drywall(not the smartest move BTW). So being in much less pain was my later in life surprises, I thought I was hard on my body, and now it's coming back on me. I was, and I do feel that, but it's way different.
But as for the blessings of my kids, I wouldn't want it any other way. It was very screwed up for a time, and relationships still aren't great with my older daughters, that's on them now as I haven't walked away. Still hopeful they come around like I did once I figured out I didn't have the stupidest parents in the world.

I'm up at the cabin, waiting for Matt's arrival. Last WE of MZ season, and so far I'm "empty", so wish me luck!

Not that cold out, just 28*, but the cabin was only 32* and it was much colder up here, as everything (including the grape juice) is frozen solid!

Running the wood stove hard, and Matt should be here soon. His daughter had a track meet further away than he thought.

We have 6" of very fluffy snow. Only had to stop twice to clear the trail!

Should be good hunting conditions tomorrow. Hope it does not get too warm on Sunday.

Good luck Mike.

When you are running a jointer, you are jointing.
Ah, thanks.

Some of them I printed, I ran out, and printing off a full build plate took less time then running into town.
The new printer crossed 800hrs as of Christmas eve. I actually finished up the kids toys today. (Well the printer did.) I'll have to remember to take pictures of this stuff. My father in law decided he didn't want to come over with the other in-laws. (I don't blame him.) So I had an extra day to get it together. Which worked out very well. He was quite impressed with it. Wife did a good job finding the files, and the designer even had a pretty well thought out video to put it all together. I'll have to remember to take some pictures of the stuff I've printed. Have a few functional prints out in the shop already.
So, I was just going to get the normal ratchet cargo bars, but they only extended to 70". The blue ones I got extend to 114". Which is perfect for whay I'm doing. The handles do look exactly like a caulk gun. Kinda goofy, but hey they seem to work pretty well so far. $16.00 each so if they break I won't be too mad.
No the handyman jack didn't work out too well. Zero help doing this boards, so needed something I could position, and make right with one hand.

Assistant guide license. No, I have been slacking on that. I just need to renew my CPR and first aid quals. The Guide who I'll be working with has been on me about it. I guess I better get back at it! Thanks for reminding me Mike. 👍🏻

Pops and I have been busy cutting some dead standing oaks at the church we attend. The back load will be saw logs and the front firewood.

We added three loads of smaller stuff to the firewood pile.

And one load of ugly stuff to the big uglies pile.

I’m pretty excited to get these sawn up !!

If it's brown it's going down. I hope you get one.
