Just starting this as a follow up to 'dustytools' 361 thread. Everybody with a 488 just sign in and we'll blow those 361 boys out of the water........

Anybody?....................

Somebody?.............................

Aw, shucks.........

No need to poke fun at us because we aren't followers. :buttkick:

Well you are definately not leaders and if you look at the first post in the thread he was already poking fun at owning the saw. I never said anything about the quality of the saw because it is of good quality just not purchased as often as others.

Uh oh

I started this thread toungue in cheek and was just having some fun. I certainly wouldn't take a serious jab at Stihl. I make a living off wood products, most of which is harvested using Stihl saws. It's just that these Shindaiwas run so darn good, I feel I must spread the news.:blob2:

Shindaiwa makes a great product, I know of some late 70's Shindaiwa commercial clearing saws that are still running being used commercially at a tree farm near here. One of them has worn out around twelve cutter heads and four or five driveshafts.
