Just starting this as a follow up to 'dustytools' 361 thread. Everybody with a 488 just sign in and we'll blow those 361 boys out of the water........

Aw, shucks.........

The 488 is a nice saw, no question about it. Well made, easy to use. Not a powerhouse but ample power just the same. Out sell 361's, not gonna happen. Thats not saying there's anything wrong with the 488 but I don't think Shiny's has the market pull that Stihl does in saw sales. Shiny's sell more blowers and trimmers than they do saws. Even so the 488 is a goodie..
