What part of the island were you on?i live in corner brook on the west coast.i love it here.i think its the best part of the world.lol.
About half way between Cornerbrook and Port AuxBasque , a small place on the coast Called Maidstone, just out the road from St Davids and the turn off the trans can at Crabbs River. Spent a lot of summer vacations there and loved the place and the people there. Bought the saw across the river in a lil building supply store at Robinsons

Nice. My great uncle had a farm at codroy valley.some sweet places out there.and my uncle had a cottage in robertsons.verry nice out there.only thing i find their is not quite enough work here.
Other than that its nice hete.
Work on the island is certainly not plentiful unless located in the more populated areas . I was lucky and got to cover/travel most of the island, I loved it all but finding full time work there was bleak and I did have full time work here in NS. There was no bridge between Maidstone/ Winterhouse and the Robinsons side of the Crabbs River back when I was working on the island, there is now and that would have saved a lot of travelling to and from picking up supplies. Have many fond memories of Codroy Valley and the sand beach there, one year there was a huge dead whale that had just washed in and it was drawing a lot of people just looking to get a couple of pictures of it.
