has anyone here built a circle chop saw with insert teeth that can process small firewood manually 1 cut at a time?not a bar saw....I haven't seen any commercial ones for home use..

To get through a 7" dia log will require a 20+inch dia, blade or larger. So that is a 10" radius on the blade less what ever the arbor mounting uses. Typically that arbor would be at least 1" with 3 inch dia.clamping plates . that leaves a bit over 8" depth of cut. Typical construction portable chop saw is " 14" max blade size - that would leave you short of the 7" depth of cut.
The old tracTor pto run saws would be what to look for. Blades with inserted teeth are pricy $ 2-3oo for the smaller sizes perhaps more now days as I haven't priced those in quite awhile.
