Very cool bro, nice work. I ran a 455 and was disappointed-.. because, and I shouldn't say it and start a big to-do, but was disappointed because it smoked my ms-290!!! It was a friends 455. Now that my ms-290 is a little older it is getting a muffler mod and a job with my mini-mill!!!

That 455 cut thru 26" red oak with a 28" bar pretty well, I was shocked. Chain was real sharp.

Yeah I love my 455 . Great saw for the money . I was looking into a 24 inch bar , but everything I see about it said 24 inches of bar is too much for it to pull ,but I might get one any way

Go for it. Just don't lean on it. My buddies' pulled that 28" ok. The hp per bar inch is way too low on paper but what the heck.

goat barn

Starting to rebuild our old goat barn. It's a very old little barn that was built my my girlfriends grandfather . He milled the wood at the house we live at . Not too much left of the old sawmill other then some timber frame and some huge saw blades . But the cool part about it is that the wood I'm milling in all of my pics is a huge plot of pine that he planted to be milled .
