My EARS hurt just looking at them. My Super 770 is the loudest saw I own, and that includes several with straight-stack "mufflers".

Nice 990's!! I had one at one time. Really cool and loud. Only complaint I have about those saws is they made it way to hard to get to the spark plug. I took a wrench of the correct size, and put a thin grind on the head that allowed me to slip in to the plug.

Holy cow, that pup even has the outlet baffle in the 'muffler'.

The correct plug wrench is a thin 13/16" open end to slip in between the housing and the top fin of the cylinder;

The above wrench is correct assuming of course you have the right plug. A J6J Champion. If you use a shorty CJ6 type, all bets are off.
