Honeysuckle sucks! Stihl 009 to the rescue! Living in NW Illinois in the timber, we have lots of invasive Honeysuckle that we're supposed to get rid of. I've hauled four cart-fulls to the burn pile in the last few days, but there's plenty more to go. My little 009 has proven itself as the right saw for the job.

Light weight, starts and runs great! It's one of two that I have resurrected over the past few years. I know that this is saw #2, because the throttle lock button is one that I fashioned out of a wooden dowel:

After cutting the Honeysuckle at ground level, we spray the stumps with 20% glyphosate to keep it from growing back:

But, if it does grow back, my two 009s and I will be ready! Thanks for watching! O

As said in their day they were the best alternative to the 192 it also come in the 009L which is closer to 41cc the 009 was 36cc both low revving (10500) and very high torque for their size. they have the same stroke as 044 & 046 due to the reed valve set up. I still own and run the 009L today and it will not cause my white finger to flare up like my 046 does top little units.
I’m about to buy one for $190,is that a good price?also ,NO WAY ,someone else calls it white finger,I’ve been a certified arborist since 1989 and have had “white finger “since about’92 I think.lol
