I am going to be switching over to a intellicarb so I figured now is the time to take advantage of the HD filter conversion.

Is this part still available from a dealership or do I need to buy it in pieces.

Or I will buy it on here, if someone has it in their position

I probably have the parts minus the actual filter.
I have pics…somewhere :p

I have an early 064 with the HD kit. Not parting it out, but I can try to get pictures.

Not sure if the plastic parts are still available but the filter parts should be as they are shared with other Stihls (066, 046, 044). Should also be able to use the Australian filter.

I have a large bin full of 064 and 066 plastics :p
I sent out one set of these several months back so I know I have them.
Used…no NOS other than the oe winter kits for the 64s.

can't find the pics so will go through the bin tomorrow :p
I believe it is 2 main parts that are needed.

I have a 0101 carburetor housing. I am so sure of this because I had ordered another 0101 carburetor housing and they sent a 0100 by mistake. I did not realize this until I had installed the 0100. And then I had to order. Another is 0101 and reinstall again.

Lots of covers on eBay that are I better shape than mine :p there are even some nos.
I can repair the cracks so they are functional but won’t be pretty.
I have plenty of the filter mounts and carb mounts.

You just need the filter mount if you already have the 0100 carb box.
$10 and some freight.
Pm me your address
I guess I don't understand why I'd need the 0100 box. If I needed the 0100 wouldn't I also need the early boot and spacer plate? I'm learning the 064/066 so bare with me.
My cover repairs came out great. Nothing pretty and shiny but very strong and functionalView attachment 1245317View attachment 1245318
Very nice, how did you accomplish that?

Picked up a plastic weld kit and have been playing with it a bit. Too bad I have thrown away parts that I could now repair :p
O well…

The plastic rods that came with it don’t really match saw plastics so I’ve been using cut up trashed parts as donor fill.

I don’t think it matters which carb box. There are some subtle differences but not to fitting the boot or the filter mount. The mounts fit both boxes.

Yeah the 0100 box doesn't work well with the newer intake boots and vice versa. It's best to use the newer intake boot with the newer airbox.

Interesting. Are the boots a different length? I have a bag full of boots i thought were thee same; now I'll have to sort them :p

The early boots have a thicker flange and use a plate (diffraction?) as a "turbulator". The 0100 airbox has a lip cast into it which
works with the thicker flange of the early boots. The thicker flange on the early boots doesn't seat well on the later airboxes.

The recessed area on the 0100 for the thicker flange prevents the later boots from making a good seal. The boots are roughly
the same length but the flange difference is readily apparent when comparing them.

So, I should send him a boot for whichever housing he has, 0100 or 0110/111. Assuming he needs a boot.
