I am selling my Stihl 441 C-M R. Purchased new and has been through maybe 5 tanks of fuel. I bought the Stihl Ultra oil so it has the extended warranty. Comes with the original bar (25") and chain, both in perfect condition. The chain has been touched up once, its still razor sharp. Comes with original tools, manual etc. Asking $700 shipped to the lower 48.

Just looked it up. Only the Ultra oil double promotion is non-transferrable. The base 1 year warrant is transferrable. See item #4 here. http://www.stihlusa.com/WebContent/CMSFileLibrary/STIHL_Warranty_Policy_2012_01.pdf

If the owner has a problem between years 1 and 2, I would be glad to have him ship it back to me so I can get it repaired under warranty.

I believe that is old info. I thought the same thing until someone recently pointed out differently-

WOW! This is very interesting. I got that right off their website. I would like to say that a PDF directly from the Warranty section of their website is the law of the land but that email clearly indicates someone is confused over at Stihl. It seems they may have redone their warranty in the last year or so.
