Hey folks.

Just wanted to give you all an update on a saw EHP (Ed) worked on.
I have an MS 026 that I use on some property. The approach to this area is about an hour on foot (no easy road access) so I did not want to haul in anything bigger.

I asked Ed to modify the saw to improve the performance while still maintaining the reliability for use where I’m cutting (work saw).

Ed was super helpful and got the saw tuned and back to me in a week.

Went out on Saturday and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

The saw is so much more efficient. Ed did an incredible job while still maintaining the reliability needed in a work saw.

You can read more about the actual work done in the following forum on this site: Sponsored Forums_Other Sponsors_EHP Ported saws_Ms 260.

I highly recommend the work Ed does and if anyone has a Stihl (or any other brand) and wants to get the most out their saw, they should contact Ed right away!

Thanks again Ed.

Thanks G T , glad to be of some help to you, she does now have some torque Ed

I'm curious about the hour long hike to get to the wood? What're plans with the trees when they're cut down?

Can we expect a 6 month update on the worksaw in spring 2005?

The hike takes you to a secluded lake with incredible fishing (mostly smallmouth bass). It’s about an hour walk from the nearest road – I like the quiet. Bought the property years ago and I am clearing out a few small sections for a very basic (rustic) “cabin”. Wood is being bucked and used as firewood.

Would love to update you on the performance next spring.

Hey Ed, the saw now has more than “some torque”! It’s like using a totally different saw! If I had not experienced it for myself, I would not have believed the difference.
