Stihl MS640??

I was looking for some parts in the Bailey's catalog and kept noticing they were listing parts that were for the 640/650 and 660.They have many parts to fit this saw.I have never seen or heard of it...Is it a euro model?Or a model that was out for a short time or what...Or could this simply have been a misprint?

Yeah if I remember right, the 640 was sold overseas in the days before the 650.

My 361 box says "MS341/MS361" The 341 must be a overseas model...

MS640 is what the 064 became in countries where it was still sold when the nomenclature was changed.

Your memory is good, and I believe the 640 still is a currant model some places - it was the last time I looked.

I believe it is a bit lighter than the 660/650, as it is based on the 064, not on the 066 with a smaller engine, as the 650 is....

The MS 640 is a legit chainsaw model from STIHL... sold in very limited numbers in Eastern Europe and Balkan regions.
