Thanks for all your input Brothers. The Dolmar 7900 looked good but I spoke with a dealer and parts supply is very poor up here in Canada. He said that out of Dolmar and the top 2(Husky and Stihl), Dolmar parts would take the longest. He also sells Husky and Highly recommends the 372XP. I could get the Dolmar 7900 or the Husky for 850.00 Canadian. Are there any of you that still think that Dolmar's the way to go?

depends what you're also running. if you are running a 50cc saw, the 372 will feel powerful. if you already have a 7900 or a 460, its just heavy and weak.
maybe better off to compare the 372xp to the 440? its not in the same class as the 460 or the 7900.
what parts do you anticipate needing? only hold up has been new OEM 7900 jugs and pistons. they share parts with 3 other saws, so gas caps, ect, will be easy to get.

DOLMAR!!!!! :chainsawguy:

No matter how good the saw is, you will always need parts. I love my 5100 and 7900 and would not give them up for the world, but when I have ordered parts, it has taken a while. With that said, I have yet to run into a problem where my saw wouldn't run, meaning the parts I ordered weren't critical items.....

All depends on how good your dealer is

a good dealer would take a part off a showrrom saw to get you going.
Do you make a living with the saw?
Only thing I have ever needed for my dolmar 6400 was a new 7900 jug and piston. took a week
I haveran a 460 with my 7900, The 7900 is firmer and has much less vibration in the cut.,. The 460 does feel lighter carrying it.. But I spend most of the time in the cut.. Hopefully.
Tell your dealer to stock some normal parts.. and you will buy some saws from him.

I ran across a guy the other day that had a Dolmar 7900.I used it,and was impressed...But for a saw in the 70cc range,I'll take the 440..Anything above that,I prefer husky's.
