Ok, well not exactly, but close. Brand new, picked it up last night before the dealer closed for the year. Dog spends the day out in a kennel/run area behind the shop. Walking the dog out this morning I grabbed the saw out of the truck to take down with me. Opened the shop door holding saw and leash in the same hand. Dog decides to bolt into the shop for some reason, hits end of leash hard, hand jerks forward, brand spanking new 200t hits the concrete.

Broke all the plastic on the clutch cover around the exhaust. Not the end of the world, and it was sure to get dinged up eventually (although knock on wood I have yet to drop a saw out of the tree.) But still....:chainsaw:

Last brand new saw as a 460. Went outside to sink it into a big oak that needed to be bucked up. Second round I hit a 1-1/2" x 1/4" piece of steel flat bar lagged into the middle of the tree 20 years earlier, knocked most of the stinking teeth off the saw.

Funny thing is, after I tragically mess up my new saws, nothing else bad ever seems to happen to them.

Merry Christmas

That sucks man, but at least it landed on the exhaust side and not the gas tank. I think all my 200's are missing some plastic near the muffler.

That is the pits.

Sent ya' some comfort rep, like a manly hug only better. :hmm3grin2orange:

Yeah, I was just hoping it would at least make it to the first job before it looked like all the other 2hunerts I've used or seen. Oh well. Pulled the screen and baffle, removed the h jet limiter, went and burned through some wood on the ground to feel better.

Bummer!!! Dogs can be rough on gear. I had one shatter my four front teeth once. But, it's all repairable. Here's hopin' your luck holds for the rest of that saw's life.

Merry Christmas,

Ouch..!!

That hurts.. hopefully does not cost too much..

The 200Ts cost so darn much.. I need another one and hate the pain -- well the ongoing pain.. this is only part of it.

(I have too much other items that I am picking up.. gotta stop the drain on capital sometime - picking up a Bobcat this coming week.. a dump trailer the following week as well as a stump grinder. Then gotta look at boom truck with dump chip box on back in two weeks..) Better make some money in 2010.. cause this is painful.
