Duh, I don't know what I was thinking, but I'm betting your right that he needs a carb boot.

Kyle from Edge and Engine can hook you up with a new boot for sure.

Might as well plan on replacing all the lines while your in there and Kyle has the original style Homelite lines for it also and is the best in the world to deal with.

I plan to put everything new back in it I've had this thing apart a dozen times messing with the oil pump and I'm tired of fooling with it. ( give me a Stihl any day)

I dont have any 026 plastic, but you got any good top's without the decomp? Mine is a lot darker than the newer HD filter cover and base that is on the saw.

Any one interested in a Stihl 051 av I have had this thing for a long time, and it is just a turd I have only had it running long enough to cut about 1/2 cord of wood. Hey it does run and when It runs It runs like no other, but parts are hard to get for it. Apparently it is fragile compared to modern saws, cause I will get it running in the shop head for the hills. Spend About a half hour trying to make it run in the hills, and have to break another saw out to get my wood. It was the saw that taught me to always bring a running back up saw. Id like to trade for a old McCulloch they are heavy but Once you have them running and don't flood it out they run pretty good I need a runner. ANYONE! PLEASE! PLEASE! HELP ME!

Have an 020av that I got from a buddy some time ago. Total basket case. Cylinder is nicked up and piston is scored. It may have a good amount of usable parts otherwise if you are building one. If somebody has a ms390 muffler I will take that in trade. Or if anyone can put some of it to good use let me know and its yours for shipping.

you mean the one with two mounting holes at the bottom of a metal plate and a rubber nub at the top?
