Looking for an idle screw and spring for a Zama W-26 carb. It goes on a P3314 Poulan. Parts only lists a whole carb for $24.00 and I hate to buy a whole carb just because I'm missing the one screw and not sure it would come with that screw. Normally I'd give up one of these for less but the saw has less than an hour on it looking at it. It runs great if you don't release the throttle! Hey everyone needs a loaner saw!

Screw from a Walboro won't fit.. I've check all the extra carbs I have sitting around so I'm guessing it's a metric thread vs. standard thing. If anyone knows the thread size, I can make a set screw from a machine screw.

Need Stihl 038 and 046 parts saws

Hi, I need a Stihl 046 all the plastic and cases. And I need all the plastic and a few other parts on the 038. If anyone has a parts saw with a bad motor (I dont need any motor partspiston crank etc.) please let me know. Probably be better for me. Thanks! Kevin

It's true.

I heard you didn't post pictures. ;)

Some of you may have seen my post about the 084 that sat for years. I dug into it this weekend. It passed the P/V test just fine, the various rubber parts were completely sound and flexible. Carb diaphragms were good. The saw started up readily and runs fine. Now to test the oiler. In goes the oil, out comes the oil, just not from the desired orifice. It turns out that someone removed the oil pump assembly. Here is what I found:

Please, pretty please, if you have an 084 pump assembly, let's make a deal.

Looking for two sprocket nose bars both 24 inch.
For a Homelite XL870 and a Poulan 5200.
Don't have much to trade but cash.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Lee

The Oregon number for the spur sprocket is...112135

The Dolmar IPL shows the 3/8ths drum to be....028 223 311
The Dolmar IPL shows the .325 # to be 205 223 101

Mike

I do not have any Oregon numbers in that area. I do have a rim and a spur sprocket for a dolmar 112, 113, 114, 116, 117, 119 and 120. They will also work on the Makita DSC 6000I AND 6800I. Let me know if they will work. Tom

Right, starting to make sense now - I am fairly slow in the morning. I have the 1209 single key way flywheel. Seeing the 1311 modules are problematic I would be better to track down a later coil and f/w. I make that the 1214 f/w and 1307 ignition module. Is that right? And what is a universal module - the a/m one?

The universal module is the 0000 400 1300 module that comes on many Stihl saws- 026/036/044/260/360/440/etc.

anyone got a 341/401 Makita sprocket? OR the IPL???

I don't have a spare, but suspect that you might only find a spur sprocket for those small saws. Mine (401s and a Dolmar 100) have 3/8 .050 low profile. A MMed 401 would pull .325, but I think that would be asking a bit much for a 341. There is one on the 'bay search "Dolmar 341 sprocket" its under $20.

yeap cylinder is dated 81.saw doesnt look to have ever been apart.3400 recoil cover looks to be original too.i tried cleaning the aluminum transfer from the bore but it was completely thru the chrome on the intake side.Exhaust side a little scratched but not bad. :(

I can't tell exactly from your pictures but to my old tired eyes that does look like a bare cylinder, I don't see any plating in the ports and most all the poulans I've torn down had *some* amount of plating that ran into the port.

Sorry for the Bad Pictures.Nope that spot below the Intake port is Bare aluminum.Had Piston transfer there that Bubbled when I added the Muratic acid.Nothing else in the cylinder bubbled and Fizzed. Anyway it is Plated but the Chrome came off from that spot up the Port Bridge and stopped right at the upper side of the Intake port.I have a Picture of the Piston but it's on my phone and can't transfer to here.May move the Pictures over to the 3400 Antivibe post to ease up congestion here.

3400's don't have plated bores. They have plated pistons and bare bores. Same with 3800's. The 3700, 4000, and the Poulan Pro 375, 385, and 395 have plated bores and bare pistons. The bare bore Poulans in this series (3400, 3800) have thick rings. The chromed bore saws have thin rings. The P/C sets on these saws are all interchangeable as assemblies, as the crankcases and crankshafts are the same for all models.

yeah I don't think the 112-6800i style will work. I wish they did make a pro rim style sprocket for them so I could play with 6-7-8 pin on 325/3/8lp...

I'll check that one out on ebay. Wonder if the 510/460 style rim would work. Anyhow thanks for the help guys!

Also anyone got a 40mm 400/401 top end? just curious and thought i would ask... the 33cc 37mm top end on a 341 is a bit anemic!
