I believe I have everything you could need for that. I have a roached one pulled apart in the shop. Pm me with a list and post a picture of your saw for me.

Those saws are fantastic. Haters will hate.

455 Rancher Coil

I'm looking for a new coil for a Husky 455 Rancher. Lots of parts to trade or notes.

Also, what other models have a compatible coil?

On a related note, I've only worked on MAYBE a dozen 455's. I've seen three with toasted or failing coils. It might just be luck, but I've had dozens of 10-series (and larger cousins of) Macs in my hands, and have NEVER seen a bad points-style (or electronic for that matter, but I've had multiple times the amount of points-style saws in my possession than electronic) coil. Any reason why a coil 10x older is/seems to be more reliable?

Thanks in advance for any replies,

Bryan

Bryan, are you sure it's the coils failing? That very coil is used on everything from the 334 to the 390, and the 455/460. I have a limited coil if you want it.

looking for an 01 flywheel and black coil for a 3120. i have a spare black coil so just the flywheel would do.

i have some stuff to trade

Not 100& sure yet. The owner said it was quitting once warm and wouldn't start until cooled, so I assumed coil before I got it. I changed the plug out, and let it idle through a tank of fuel while I was working on something else last night. It does run a tad rough, but has no air leaks. I'm gonna go do some cutting with it to see if I can produce the symptoms the owner mentioned.

Ya, nevermind, it was just a plug, and the adjustment was a bit off. I just ran two tanks through it, and had no problems. I was very impressed with the fuel economy, but then again, my go-to's are Pro Mac 700's and 7-10a's.

Thanks anyways!
