Are Chinese covers any good? I was warned about the Chinese Recoils. The saw I bought is supposed to have a good Mahle P&C. It's for keeping and porting, I'd like to find nice covers for it.272xp cover on ebay
I found a nice 268 recoil assembly buried deep in an AS member's ebay store and that was the main missing part. If you have a nice clutch assy and top cover I'm interested.Husqvarna 272 or 268 top cover, recoil assy and clutch cover? I have a good 025 engine, and a complete 200t engine, pto, and carb- piston looks nice.... trade it for nice covers
I bought this:

I have one on a 268 , fits and looks great . No idea how its going to hold up , just haven't had it long enough yet ?Are Chinese covers any good? I was warned about the Chinese Recoils. Thanks Tbone, have you ever tried the Mako clutch cover assemblies? Thinking it may be different or better than the standard Chinese AM ones that are everywhere.I have one on a 268 , fits and looks great . No idea how its going to hold up , just haven't had it long enough yet ?
They are so inexpensive that losing one wouldn't be a big deal. I get a little obsessive when it comes to my saw "projects".the biggest thing about the chinese cylinder covers is fitment. most i've seen fit well but i have had to drill the screw holes a bit to make them line up with the threaded holes. other then that it don't really matter cause if something ends up hitting it with any kind of significant force there will be damage whether the cover is oem or not.

I know, I'm grateful that I found a nice recoil assy on fleabay for a fair price. That was the most important part to keep OEM. The ebay seller is looking for the rest of the parts for me, bplust is his AS handle and he's a good man.everyone wants to stay oem but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. if i really need a particular part i buy aftermarket, then when i run into a nice oem one later down the road i just swap them.
Anybody know if a PM700 plate is the same? If so... I gots some.I find my self in need of a Husky 142 Carb.
I also need a Mac 610 inner bar plate.
What do you need for them?
I also have a set from a 10-10 to add to the mix if they work.Anybody know if a PM700 plate is the same? If so... I gots some.
The 610 is a big plate that goes behind the clutch, it acts as a bar plate as well as a dust cover for the components beneath the clutch.Anybody know if a PM700 plate is the same? If so... I gots some.

Anybody have a somewhat clean 026 case with good bearings? Just need the case with crank and bearings, I have one here with bad bearings. Can't decide if I should just put new bearings in it, just one of them things I hate doing. Just putting out a feeler. Got tonage to trade.
