Today's ODD question ..... Sachs Dolmar stickers!

Greets everyone .... yep, to really put the cap on my 111i project, I'm looking for the Sachs Dolmar sticker that goes on the recoil side and th Dolmar 111i sticker on the clutch cover.

I really don't want to spend the $ for the recoil cover with the riveted plate; but Father's Day is coming .... but dang, that cover is good looking.

If you don't have the stickers, can you steer me to a 'go to' person? www.chainsawr.com does not have them, as a couple of my other East coast sources.

Help is always welcome!

Thanks!

The Sign/lettering/printing technology has come a long way in the last 20 years. A well equipped local sign/print shop can now make you one of those quite economically, even as a 'one-off'. You do need to have a good example, of what you want on the decal, though it need not be another copy of the decal itself, just something on a printed page. The letter fonts used by manufacturers are often just standard fonts, so all you need is the text, colors desired and layout and you can have the decal printed on vinyl. Here's a few I found in a brief net search:

I don't know if that's what you need, but you get the idea. That logo is made up of a standard font, BTW so all you'd need is the font and the proper measurements to duplicate it.

Agreed that the right sign shop would do the job and that the Internet examples would be a good source, but at what cost? If they need to special order two different packs of metallic stickers for a one-time job (even if I take a dozen stickers of each), that recoil cover with the riveted plate just got cost-effective. I will do some pricing of these anyway.

I did some more searches last night and found a sticker for the clutch side .... in a German warehouse! Go figure! It was like 1.6 Euros ..... gonna ask a couple of my sources to contact their distributors on Monday .... We'll see.

We used to keep the metallic material in stock for our plotter in 14" width. Now they can print on that material rather than just cut it. They won't be ordering packs of stickers. The material comes on a 150' roll and is 12, 14, 18 or 24" wide depending on the plotter/printer the individual shop owns. After printing on the material, they can just cut it off and hand it to you and you can do the trimming at home with a pair of scissors. Very easy.

This is kind of a 'labor of love' sort of job for them, but at the same time, not very time-consuming. Make friends and buy someone lunch!
