Hi JJ,

I sent Jay (jbird77) the 2071 saw, and unbeknownst to me, the pin was compromised... I, of course, sent my spare pin off to another member, so I am unable to help :(

We spent a few minutes on the phone tonite going through the brake components and assy trying to figure out why it was malfunctioning after dis assembly for a GOOD cleaning..

Now we know why :(

Thanks....

I told him all was good , I just havent messed with that break setup and couldnt figure what the deal was , just glad we figured it out

371K "sprocket"

Any of you 371/372 pilots that have converted cutoff saws still have the drive pulley around? I have a 371K that I am converting to a 365K, and the clutch bearing came apart. I need a good drive pulley (and about 3 crankshafts....)

Dolmar parts - Looking for a crank for a 111i,piston,air filter cover and front AV mount.Got a few things to trade and the worthless green backs. Thanks for any help!

John, I got this box of Dolmar stuff from a member here. He wasn't 100% on what it was, neither am I. There was an extra crank in the box. It's different than the one that's in the case still. The one that's out has a flat spot on the clutch side, the one in the case does not.

Maybe, I'll look when I get to the shop.

026 muffler...

Anyone got a reasonably priced 026 muffler??? I'll need one soon for an 026 project. Does a 024 muffler work on an 026???? Figured it would bolt up but didn't know if the 024 would be more restrictive or not.

PM me and let me know what you want for it. Not sure what the going rate is on ebay...

I've got cash and maybe a good 029/290 cylinder to trade.

According to my IPLs, there are two mufflers shown for both the 024 and 026.

Only one of these (by the numbers) is shared. Part numbers 1121 140 0606 and 1121 140 0802. The 'other' muffler listed for the 026 is listed as being a CAT muffler, no such indication on the 024.

Have no clue on the price.

Which part number definatly goes to the 026 then if only one is shared??? 0606 or 0802?

Those are the part numbers for the front & back halves of the two-piece assembly ..

P.S. You have mail.

my bad... I knew there were 2 pieces for the muffler from looking on ebay but totally was thinking 1 part number instead of 2...

Thanks for the mail! It will come in very handy!!!!

Looks like they're different tools. . . Have some old sockets and a cutoff wheel? You can make your own.

If not, I'd be willing to make you two tools for a 60dl, and 72dl.

i have several old sockets just that they are too big,, going to check at trade day monday when i go and see if i can find some smaller,, i have made several that way

Chunks of black pipe work to (hardware store). . . Or pawn shops. A couple pawn shops here have "goody bins" (5 gallon buckets on racks) full of hand tools and sockets.

You might have to pay 3 bucks for a handful of stuff.

I find that a hammer and small blunt cold chisel works really well for this. Usually takes about 10 hits. Just did a 372, a 575 and a 385 in the last couple of weeks. No. it won't bend the crankshaft. I figure that's why Husky put those little notches in the clutch; so you can get the clutch off out in the woods if needed.
