Pre-Spring Cleanup

Getting rid of some stuff out of the garage:

Husky 288XP cylinder. This came off my saw that had bearing damage. You can see the piston still has machine marks, so I am guessing that the cylinder has low hours. There are no deep gouges in the cylinder wall, but there are a few nicks in the exhaust port where something caught it. What you see if how it came off the saw, no acid, no sanding, no prep.

Drafting arm

Not chainsaw related, but not sure where to put this. I have a Vemco drafting arm that came with a drafting table. No use for it.

Looking for some Jonsered stuff:

2159 - Fuel tank; flywheel shroud; muffler (cat or non, doesn't matter)

625 - crankcase; muffler studs; cylinder head bolts

920 - crankshaft bearings

2163 - crankcase halves

If you have anything, or want the cylinder or drafting arm send me a PM.

Makita DCS6401

I'm looking for a fuel tank - handle assy for a makita DCS6401. My buddy had a mishap with his and i'm trying to fix it for him. If you have a good one, let me know and what you want for it. Thanks. (prefer a blue one but red would work)

Sorry for the dirty laundry post guys. I don't normally do that. I've been holding it in for over a year now..... I do feel a little better though.
It's not just me either, Mark and a couple other well respected members had similar dealings.

Anyways, to get back to the junk swapping.... I could use a ms310 piston, clutch, carb and other stuff.
Got buckets of trading stock.

Mmm dirty laundry is all gone.

I was thinking the same thing. I remember when my pop got his first computer with CAD on it. Its funny on this site CAD is Chainsaw related and when I talk to my engineer/surveyor dad CAD is a totally different thing. He used to have three giant drafting tables and two of these stinky "blueprint" machines. Its funny they got replaced by plotters and computers, but the blue print machine stuck around for awhile. Brought back some memories:biggrin:

Developer used ammonia. But, you still need 'em to make copies from the older pre 'puter library.

IIRC That one is left hand to boot.

Used one up 'till late '80's when we got AUTOCAD.

Worthless unless you have scales to go with it.

Even with scales it would be worthless to me. :)

I can't believe these things go for $100 on ebay. I am just trying to get some saw parts out of it.

You have NO idea the size of his "library". The giant file cabenit that holds the drawings, then there are about a zillion "tax maps". His poor second wife, there basement is not longer a basement.

Homelite XL12 (1977) now complete and running with new 16" Oregon bar.

here's the top of the cylinder it has a few marks in it. but it still had really good compesstion. looks like someone used some kind of tool to get the clutch off and made the marks in the top of it.

Aaron,

She's all good, just would like to have one around for when I feel like doing it, or if it needs it. I keep reading all this stuff about 372s.....I kind of want to find out.

Baileys has the NWP kits for like $100

Chris

I've got a ported BB kit, pop up piston and all, I'm willing to let go. Only 3 tanks of gas through it, its not a Baileys kit though. What do you have for trade?

Why do you live in canada???? Do you know what it would cost me to ship anything to "trade" . The only thing I can think of that I could trade for that is a 025. ARGHHHHH! The dang border!
