Is an 051 muffler the same? Or will one work? I may have one of those.

Yeah, like Rob said, a lot of the 051 stuff is different. That's why a bunch of members here have 051 carcasses.

I have a buddy that runs the TS-760 concrete saws so I may be able to get us 075/076 parts through him. A
lot of the 760 stuff will cross over.

Ya. Ok, Besides the piston and cylinder, all I need is a couple muffler covers, so far.

this is the intake side of the cylinder

You do know that cyl is junk, correct?? Those lighter colored marks are aluminum where the nikasil coating has been worn away...Same reason why the piston is ultra-thin. :(

I'm looking for an 075 muffler as well, if you got a spare. I know I have your 242 air filter and muffler, as well as some other parts you asked about.

See....and you said I don't have anything that you might need. :poke:

What is the difference between the 051 and 076 piston? I may have a NOS muffler

No, 051 has a different bolt up to the cylinder than the 075/076

Hey Rob,

what's different? :msp_confused:

Two muffler covers for 075/076 is a tall order I agree.
The last list price on those from Stihl was $155 each...
Will is first in line for parts as far as I'm concerned.

Dont feel bad, heck I'm 43 years old and I still learn something new everytime I tear into a saw:msp_confused:

Have those parts for your 041 got to you yet?

Looking for a 14 inch B&C setup for my 025 (.325), I have poulan wildthing parts, homelite super2 parts, and stihl 031 bits. The bar and chain doesn't have to be "Stihl" brand, im not really picky. Thanks for any help fellas.

There's two 075/076 mufflers on eBay right now for $100 each.

not yet but i say they will be here tomorrow for sure. it said on the post office door they will be closed for the holiday today.

the guy i bought this husky 66 from said the piston and cylinder was good but didn't take no pictures of it though. but on e-bay you get what you pay for i guess LOL

It can be done, a couple guys here have done it with good results. I've never done it because there's
an endless supply of running 075/076s here so there's no need to convert one in my area.

When one of those in the "endless supply" stops running. Send it my way.;)

Been holding on to a handful of parts from a converted 051 for awhile now waiting for an 075/76 to show up on the cheap.
