I just got (2 weeks ago) a 32" Oregon Power Match in D176 from Edge & Engine for a very affordable price .... but had to wait. Kyle said they were just scarce for some reason ..

But if you had two bars and some creative welding you could do it.:msp_unsure:

I haven't been here that long, but don't recall any threads on home made bars. I imagine it is possible given someone good at machining and the appropriate tools. Would be interesting to see one!

me, welding two bars together, keeping them straight, all of that...a man knows his limits! And precision welding is way past my limit!

i have struck out,, i have been tring to find a gas cap for an echo 451 for wiggs,,,, anyone have one that they can spare and send it straight to him????
let me know how much

That would be a good thing. I figure a lot of fellers would take you more seriously if your spelling was and punctuation was better. I quit school in the eight grade to start work.......but I try to use our language as it was meant to be used.

On my screen incorrectly spelled word have a squiggly red line under them. I didn't have to turn anything on to make it that way........it just works that way, Thank God.

Thank you Scott.......My wife has epilepsy so when I come across flashing or rapidly moving things I scroll by them to prevent her from seeing them.

Now about that lower handle brace for my Homelite? :msp_biggrin:

i'll start looking for it tomorrow and hope fully i'll find it.

ok i'll check with them and see what i can come up with. Thanks for letting me know i sure do appreciate it

I use google to spell but it also has a red line under it.lol

Same here, but I have yet to figure out how to get the correct spelling from it. At least it lets me know I'm wrong, I generally just start changing letters till I get it right...er close enuf :msp_wink:.

It can be done. My uncle welded a 24"-28" somewhere in there for his dad's Dolmar 5100. Used the small mount off the original, then added on from another bar. But he is a machinist by trade.

And the ieSpell does not work on our computer. It says it has to be downloaded. DH it is the box in the message window on the top right, with ABC and a green check mark.

I can deal with bad spelling, because not everyone has the same amount of education. But punctuation and capital letters helps occasionally.

You guys have a good day, Im headed out to work on the Detroit 4-71 and hopefully getting it going. So I can swap some work for some saw milling :D

I don't even have that and can't figure out how to get it. If y'all knew how bad my spelling is, you'd have 6 threads going about me. I have to look at some words for a long time before I figure them out. I do try to use proper punctuation where appropriate.

Look at me going with the big words.:rolleyes2:

Stihl 070 carb and opinion

Just because one didn't get a education when one was young, doesn't mean that one is stupid. Some of the most productive, sharpest, talented and witty people I know never graduated from any kind of school. Many of which were self learners and taught themselves their current trade and have excelled in life. While in school they learned how to read, learned how to add and subtract and then tackled life head on.

I used Google spell check by the way...

Anyone got 070 carb laying around?
