is the 142 a runner or a parts saw??

Runner,it had a slight bog the last time I used it, that was last Sept. I will pull it off the shelf and see whats what. All my saws drink VP fuel, even the Husky 142.

I want to say it has a 16" bar, I will dust it off and see how it runs. Maybe the VP fuel is the reasion it runs kinda funky as the saw was never tuned for it, I don't know I'm guessing.

I will get a Pic and maybe a Vid of it running.

Jason.

Anybody have a pole saw they wanna part with? Trying to help my folks clean up their place..

can anyone tell me who it was that got all them bars in on a pallet. i know i know who it is but i can't remember who it was. Can someone please shed some light on who it was Please

Fun with stencils

I use them all the time at work (see below, done with stencils and polyurethane enamel). An easy trick to make them easier to 'weed' (remove the unwanted part) is to get the guy that's cutting them to draw them in with an ink pen first, then go right back over with the knife. Then you can see the lines. Gerber still has the best stencil material, BTW. The lines are incredibly sharp.

Will that cross with any poulan stuff? I have some plasticky poulan parts saws under the bench. I know those home renter huskys cross with some pioneer partner and poulan, like I have a poulan oiler in my 137 and it seems to work.

some of the poulan stuff does cross over but not any of the mufflers,, the mounting is right but the muffler is to tall

I dont know whats there worth, 80ish dollars or so. What size are the chains you have, I have a 20" bar that I found with 064, but form what I understand thats a little small for that size saw:msp_rolleyes:

Jason.

I run 20" on mine alot and I think that it balances well. You might want to try it if you do not need the extra length/weight.
