I thought it was a running saw? Now your talking crank seals?

it runs but when you turn to on side it would idle way up then you turn it on the other side it would die fast. so i'm going to go ahead and install new crank seals for the new guy that it goes to.

USUALLY i don't get involved in the hog-wash of the in-and-out of your threads..

BUT....

I have to intervene here ---->

NEXT we'll be reading how you SNAPPED the crank off, by accident, of course :msp_rolleyes:...

do yourself, the recipient of the saw, and THE REST OF US a favor... just send the saw, as-is to the next guy... I'm SURE they will be MORE than happy to swap the seals, RATHER than wonder if things were done 100%...

I'm sure you understand where i'm coming from... it's kinda like buying a car that just had a WHOLE bunch of work done to it recently, but it hadn't been road-worthy for 3 years before that... makes ya wonder WHY certain things were done, how, and IF things were done 100%...

thats sounds fair when who ever want the saw he can put the seals in. when they come in then i'll get a flat rate box and just put them in it and then stick them in with the saw.

Does the Echo 60S have crank bearings in it?

What EXACTLY have you already done to it?

yes i haven't done nothing to the engine exspt clean it up a little. i also cleaned the carb and the oil pick up tube inside the tank cleaned the air filter. thats all i have done to it. I'm waiting on the seals to come in at the dealer that i orderd 2 weeks ago and i'm not going to put them in i'm going to let the guy that wants the saw put them in.

Where he knows it is done right

Bout' like the guy that put new upper and lower ball joints on my Lincoln. Later the steering started getting tight, jack it up and find he never put the grease fittings in. Let alone any grease. So now new ball joints again.Guess I'll do it myself.Haven't caught up with him yet, he has a slight thumpin' coming.

I've offered up several saws but you haven't said specifically what you're interested in. I also have Homelite 925s and some bigger Pioneers.

Still looking for Dolmar 143 parts! Got some trading stock and a little green stuff? :D

Good Dolmar 143 parts are pretty hard to come by. I was rebuilding a 143 a few years ago for a guy and it took me a year and a half to find a useable cylinder
that someone was willing to part with. I had to buy it from an old-timer in Germany.

Some dumb Slug is trying to put 5 of them together :hmm3grin2orange:
