... He says one is a Poulan, and the other is a Target Quickie. ... Any opinions?....Thanks

All I can comment on is the Quickie saw. Years ago that's the saw most often used in the fire service. They were heavy, ugly, hard to start and cold blooded. Gosh I miss those saws! They also performed great and were bullet-proof, if you could get them started. Jay

I think you're right. Was Partner affiliated with pioneer?....I think they made the Target, or bought the company, or something....

Not sure who bought who, but the companies merged and produced saws under the Pioneer/Partner brand when owned by Elux. The Poulan saw, might actually be a Partner as they are all part of the P saw group.

The Target is a Pioneer powerhead if I remember correctly.

Yes, From what I understand some of the older Target cut offs used a Pioneer/Partner P65 powerhead. That is a 98cc awesome saw! You can still get parts for this model. Can you get some pics? It sounds like it would be a fair trade even-up, if you can get some $ also, even better!

bar on target quickie?

Howdy fellers,
I'm about to get my hands on an old Target Quickie. Is it possible (reasonably) to put a bar and chain on one of these? Might be fun.

It is possible, however they do not have oilers. Some work would have to be done to it.
