I am thankful on this day of thanks for many reasons, but would like to bring up a point that I have wondered about for years; What about a left-handed chain saw?

I, in recent months, have had trouble with arthritis in the knuckle of the middle finger of my right hand or "trigger finger." I do everything with both hands, brushing teeth, shaving, hand saw work, etc. I would like to own a couple of saws both right and left-handed. This way, I could work both hands the same.

Might it be a safety issue? I don't believe so, as both hands are on the saw at all times anyway.

Those that are in the know at Husky, Stihl, Echo, etal., do some probing for me will you?

Happy Thanksgiving to all. The weather is perfect for watching football and eating here today; 14 degrees fahrenheit, wind blowing at 30 to 40 mph - a good day to eat!

Thanks.

the first time i picked up a saw, the guy training me said,
"What are you doing?"
"What do you mean?"
"You can't hold a saw like that!"
"Like what?"
"You're holding it left handed!"
"But I'm left handed. . ."
"Not while using a saw!"

So im right there with you, i want a left handed saw!

I use both hands to do a lot of things, including running a saw. Sometimes while climbing it's easier to cut left handed.
