Talking about Stihl dealers, I made a joke with my dealer about how cheap a 200T chain was (54c a DL), and he said he had quite a few customers tell him the same thing - not sure where they buy their chains... :msp_confused:

He didn't notice my hint of sarcasm either :monkey:

Thats a wee weird my AS post thread email notifications twas jammed up, now its all come though the tube in one go late this avo, I think tdi-rick was suffering a similar computta gremlin torment. Tis not great issue but often a indiactior of a unstable system about to go pop.

I have the same problem, just had the last weeks email notifications come through in 5 minutes... rather annoying

I use Jakmax full synthetic made by Alco in the US (it's also cheaper than stihl oil), 50:1 for all my saws 50 or 5 years old...................................................................................
deye 223..
that stuff has a fuel stabilizer in it as well would like too see someone let it sit in a container for six months and see if it works just not on a realy good saw don't want no one to toast a good saw

that is how it should read matt i was in a severe amount of pain when i typed it so was not all that clear, what it was ment to say was i would like to see some mixed with fuel and let sit for 6 or 12 months and test

and dito on the computer glitch been doing that here for over a month PITA cheers

Following on from Al's request in another thread, and seeing as Neil and Will are pre-occupied this weekend (Australian tittles have been on in Qld) I don't think Neil will mind me posting a pic of his old 3120 twin that he raced back in the nineties I believe.

I can't imagine the nuts you'd need to man handle that bastage in the speed event.

(Aussie speed race is a bore cut on the centreline [at least in NSW, Qlders cheat :monkey:], continue that cut down, straight back up to drop that disc, cut down then back up for the next two discs without cutting the line. You have 100mm to do this in and cutting the line is a disqualification)

Neils a top bloke hey Rick. Spent a bit of time on the phone with him lately. He bought the last three 56mm 395XP P&C kits off me. Reckons they came up awesome as far as tolerances goes. He certainly knows his stuff. He raced one of my kits up in QLD pulling something like 16,500rpm out of a 395XP with finger ports. I wish they raced closer but sometime in the next 12 months I'm going to head north to one of those events. May even pick you up on the way through :)

I sent him a txt last night to see how they all went, (Oz Titles) but haven't heard back yet.

Probably all sleeping hangovers off ATM :D

and yes, he's a good bloke.

I learnt heaps from Neil, Dean, Jonesy and all the other blokes at the training day I went to last year.

Poor Neil is too willing to share info, so everyone wants a piece of him. ;)

well I probably should have got in my truck and wandered out to this........but with work busy and 2 days out of this weekend the surf started to line up. Solid 5 foot and peeling. So good and 8hrs in 2 days im feeling it a bit haha. Im real keen to hear the results as I know Neil and Will were both working on some stuff that may or may not have been run at these titles :msp_sneaky: Will sent me the dates for the races....I might have to head to Crows Nest for a sticky...surf permiting of coarse :D
