I looked at them and would have liked to do a deal with James (the owner) as I reckon he's a good bloke. He actually put together an 8x5 for me but I rejected it cause the welds were totally crap....holes in every single visible weld and all the MIG splatter had been hot dipped over the top of it, I was not at all impressed. His welding on his trailers was spot on, but the stuff he was importing was not, and he knew it..

Ah yes James seems like a good bloke, got a 8x5 off him a few years ago and they do good work. And yes some of those china ones are a bit hit and miss.

Oh and I think from memory Andrews rig is 10x5 and I think his max gvm was 4.5T fully loaded. So that would be a few tonne of wood for sure.

If I got exactly the same trailer custom made and galvanized here as the one I bought, I priced it at $5500 instead of $3500 on the road......that's the difference in labor cost, commercial rent and OH&S regs we are subject to here......I did look at 7 different importers of the trailers till I found a batch with good welds, well made, and had been dipped in a clean bath.....more miss than hit but if you put the time in you can find a good one, eventually.

Memories, I owned a Honda CB750F 4 pot back in the early 80's.. they had balls didn't they.

My cousin has an old CB900 ex GP bike from that era. Had a sweet spot from 9000-11000rpm (it redlined at 11000 and the only place it really got going). I jumped off of my ZZR1100 D4 onto that and loved it, except when I hit the brakes....there really weren't any and it scared the **** outa me.

still got bad memorys of the great ocean road after dumping my old zx6 into a guard rail 5 years ago.

did you check out victorian trailers in thomastown. they have built a couple of good ones for me over the years at very good prices. the tradies trailer is 5 years old now and runs hyd over run brakes on the front axle only, i reckon ive had it nudging over 4t when loaded right up with timber a couple of times, only problem its had was a cracked spring hanger after 3 years of working at the end of some brutal access roads that shake everything to bits.

Both great looking trailers Bill, but wouldn't it tip over when shagging in the tent?

I did try a place in Thomastown a couple of weeks ago, can't remember the name, but what I saw they had in (they didn't have much when I looked) wasn't the best batch I could find....I guess the quality changes with every shipment.

nah doesnt even rock, its got a xhd chassis under it, pretty sure these guys build theres onsite and wholesale to alot of others.

That's why I sold my road bike. i figured it was only going to be a matter of time before I did that or worse to myself.

they actually brought a group of school kids in to see me while i was in the hospital to try scare them into being sensible on the road. the teachers were shattered when i told the kids that as long as you wear all the gear to go for it. shattered the femur blew the acl in the knee but not a single scratch or cut thanks to my leathers

Not a good idea to get involved in that. You could have found yourself on charges along with her if he took it further, not to mention civil litigation, criminal negligence is a biggy.

My better half is currently going through that with her ex and to see how nasty he can be to her really socks, but it's great that their kids see it....dad isn't quite revered as he once was.

Had to trim a fence line today for a trench. Got out the trusty ms180 powerhouse, man what a weapon. Was done in no time.

Also Derwoodii, I spent a few hours on the Slammer and it worked well. Went through roots and all. However, did not go through the high pressure pvc mainline so was a good day :) I was sweatin when I discovered it lol

Awesome pics thanks for sharing!.... Still kicking ya reckon more like strong as an ox!, Swinging an axe and from what I can see no sign of a saw under 90cc Nice get her done!....And yeah ya 090AV is looking sweet!.....
smallest saw is 395, we just pile burn the crowns anyway, no real need for anything small for limbing , the 395 can do that if needed, and does it fast!
If you saw this guy in the flesh you'd know why he runs 090's. The bastard is about 6'6" and built like a brick sh*thouse.

I reckon he does roids...
Roids? lol only when taking a stubborn dump
