No jb weld only a tig! got one of the best welders around going to look at it in the next couple of days.thankfully the damage is minimal and clean so it should be fixable. The guy looking at it is one of the guys who teaches people to weld. if he can,t weld it noone can. just dreading how much stihl are going to charge me for a new handle and tank.

handle and tank should only be between 300 and 900 i imagine being stihl, if a set of genuine rings are 60 bucks it mite be cheaper to buy a whole new saw

how bads the bar trav? i hear theres a good market for wooden wheels, 42"er should knock out some nice old wagon wheels! or is it square bent, mite only be good for square cuts:msp_tongue:
 
I know the broken femur, popped the ball off the left side. Had a truck door slam shut on me while I was trying for a quick exit.

That's fierce Randy,.....never had any screws, brackets, rods etc. All plaster.

Actually it was pointing upwards at about 30 degrees and split the web at the back of the slot which goes over the bar bolts. I think I might be able to fix it actually.
 
ah nice, i got an old 25er here thats bent sideways about 15deg she cuts some sweet half moons
 
yeah not looking forward to summer, all the feed around and water its gonna be bad. mite have to whip ya pants off al, bit cold on the jewels but will keep the flies off ya face
 
I've been getting the odd Blowie in the shed. Don't know where they are coming from, but they are a damn distraction when I'm working on something.

I hope this isn't a prelude to summer....
