Went to the Stihl shop today to have a look at the MS241C and the MS441C. I picked up the 241, it felt light, and it would sort of do what I want. Then I picked up the MS441C and fell in love. Then I put it back, chatted with the bloke, and then picked it up and played with it some more. Even the wife approved.

Now to watch Rango :cool2:

ah the MS441c that the way to go Graham!:msp_thumbup:

'cept you fella's down south don't know how to tackle properly, so I'll be pretty safe :D

in the real game Rick we play for the ball, non of this grubby holding the man stuff:msp_tongue:

and we score goals not this rolling over the line "try" thing,

anyhow BTW go Storm!

Yep, but too many outgoings over the next two months so it'll probably be on hold.

yeh there is always more bills to pay when ever you think about a new saw ah:msp_mad:

anyway at least with it on hold you can settle down, get hold of your self, think clearly
and then go out and get a 660 and 880:hmm3grin2orange:

Hi everybody.

Did a MM on the McCulloch 4620 today, certainly made a difference. It is revving out a lot better than it did before, which is a huge improvement from where it was. Looking forward to trying it out in anger soon.

Can see some opportunities for porting when I had a look down the exhaust port. Might consult with the gurus first.

Haha good one Bob... :potstir:

Yeah these Stihl blokes have it easy since they actually work out of the box, unlike the 4620. I am thinking of using it as a test mule for porting once I have something else to use. My die grinder dies so it will have to wait.

Square filed full chisel chain

well after that bit of talk on this thred the other week about square filed full chisel chain, I decided to get some to play with!
when down to me Stihl dealer to see if he had some, he brought out a box with 14 feet of square filed full chisal chain and said I could have it for $50, so i said yep thanks, it was a full skip but, not really what I would of liked, I was after full comp chain but took it anyway.
Made a loop up for my 30" bar on the 066, well it cut like nothing before,(cutting dry red gum) but after about a 12 cuts it started to cut curves, and i could not make it go stright for anything?? new chain should not do this??( bar is in good shape) so after a bit I put the semi chisel back on and no probs?

it not easey to sharpen square filed chain I have a triangular file and a double bevel flat, tips any one?
