Vince, I will have a look sometime this week, I know I got one somewhere that'll suit ya, I just gotta find a bit of time. I just spent tonight pulling off the rocker cover on the patrol, I farked up yesterday and exceeded the recommended torque settings when installing the new gasket yesterday, they only need 1-2nm of torque, oops, first click of the elbow far exceeded it lol

As for the motor in Melbourne, I just found out a chopping mate is heading to Melbourne from Adelaide show, trying to get onto him to see if he has a spare moment to pick it up for me, hope the silly bugger can do it for me

No worries. Thanks for that.
If you need a hand to get this up north pm me. But I am only around for a week then OS for 10 days.

Anybody tried a brushcutter on sapling trees?
I've got acres of acacia longifolia to remove that has sprung up after fuel reduction burns, spraying them hasn't proven to be very effective. I've tried lontrel, trounce and grazon in the past - and I have even more to do now.
I know it's been done, I've got no idea of speed, blade choice or how much brushcutter I'll actually need - but I've got a feeling the 35cc Honda might be marginal! I'd like to try though before I shell out a for something new.
Benne - want to talk to me about a stihl 250 vs their forestry clearing range?
I'll be out your way next week some time, so if I can make some sense of this I can pick one up.

I missed a 460 last week for $1k - I kinda wanted it, but I had no work for one. Lol. Then again, is second hand a bright idea with these things? I really haven't worried for ages as the Hondas have done everything I've needed for years and I have no idea how you wear one out.
Give me a bell. I should have something there that will do the trick

That's all cool Neil and I respect that. But isn't that like comparing the V8 super car engine builder to a good bloke down the road that builds them for the weekend club car. Of course one bloke wants to be secret squirrel and win races. That's what keeps them ahead of the pack. Where the other caters for the masses.
It's true what you say but it's unrealistic to put them in the same bed. IMHO. [emoji4]

Sorry Vince for not getting back a little sooner, no megs left for the month (someone not mentioning names has burned them all) and so I just got run over and lost ten pages ago.
As I said its my opinion and nothing more, that was directed at a small few who know exactly what I meant as a lot read this thread .

Anyway looking along the many pages of postings it looks like Peter has a Wards vintage which needs some parts, Kaine has mastered the art of sharpening spark plugs, home made steel gongs are in fashion again, some lucky members are off touring the countryside. Jason claims to be a weekend warrior (i thought he was a truck driver),a little politics and refugee stuff thrown in as well, gee look at the time, work time again folks so I will check in again sometime and see what's changed since today.

Feel slightly less of a man, much like not owning an 090.
I wouldn't let that bother you Snowey, 90's are just that, a bloody 090. They are the bee's nees to collectors and fun for a little one off racing perhaps handy for an odd farmer but plenty of nice big saws which are a lot nicer to use and will get the job done.

I've currently got 3 of my saws in various stages of disassembly, making some minor refinements.
My shed is overflowing with other repairs, and today I'm called out on farm to a zero turn toro, very sick block splitter & a 2171 jonsered........ Busy busy busy... I'd better be gone, have a top day men!

I think Turnbull and Bishop will be a great combo......Bishop will likely also be the next female PM of this country......

Time will be the test of course

I hate politics, but Turnbull is one of the very few who have impressed me.
One of the very few who appears to be more of a statesman and less of a politician.
His biggest obstacle is the liberal party, best of luck I reckon. He's going to need a knife proof back.
