Perhaps if we all close our eyes, ears, and mouths, the problems will go away? Whilst I accept this is not the thread for political/idealogical discussions, I'll be farked if I'll consign the futures of the next generations even further down the river, for an easier passage through my life. Not having a dig at you mate, just it's clear to many that such actions of previous and current generations has left us in this ever deepening mess.

But given how this is the thread to be talking about saws, pistons and jugs, I'll segue into the latter while still wearing my conscientious objector hat, with this video of some brave if not a little bloody stupid people expressing standing up/out for what they believe in, while it's still worth fighting for/exposing:

I couldn't watch all that. When they laid the boot in I had to turn it off.
Scum comes in all colours and creeds, but I'd be happy to give those kitties some of their own medicine. Might make me a lesser person, but I can't stand that.

The shoes can be filed back, though at a particular angel. I have built up (welded ) worn obsolete shoes.
Have I got a spare starter for a Ward?...I doubt it!...Thought, if I find something that matches your measurements, its yours.
Hi, just wondering if you have had any luck yet finding one

Spent an hr late this arvo, before going to work, on cleaning this up, & giving it a tickle up for a good friend to have a run with on the wk end.
It's no record breaking machine, but it'll give a decent fellow, a chance to compete in an event that he normally couldn't.:)image.jpg

Man that has a real nice colour combo!

If you thought you had a ****** job check these poor kitties out. Working around the clock 24/7 Jack hammering then relining our melt furnace at work. It's still 50 deg in there and the furnace has been switched off on Friday.
Hopefully job finished in 3 to 4 weeks.

**** they got heaps of room in there , you should have seen the crap we put up with in the cement works in traralgon in the 80s and 90s doing exactly that and the vertical kilns

A picture below of the good stuff to burn, some kind of black wattle (the 3 large rounds).......I haven't got anything with the bark still on it unfortunately.

Then below that a picture of the crap stuff to burn, still wattle I think but could be something else....they both look similar but burn very differently

Anyone know what the go is.....both are common in Wellington Shire, Vic.

As an eduvcated guess the top stuff is Blackwood, comes withg a silvery fine textured bark, hard to pick the difference when there is no bark but as a general rule old small dry blackwood burns hot and well with little ash but wattle burns way too quick and leaves rubbish behind. That said when clearing the farm as youngsters we used to cut the wattle into three foot longs for the open fire and burn it a couple of months later whilst green still.

Never burn blackwood near a roof that gathers drinking water(unsure of the science behind this but everyone knew this when I was growing up).

Big blackwood is prized for open fires(and depending on the tree either hated or loved by youngsters like us who had to split 2foot wood).

that's all we need, another Stihl in the ring, :omg: he will be right, good stuff :).

Man that has a real nice colour combo!

You noticed Rudi, that is because 1/2 of the Stihl board members wanted to match the awesomeness of orange (like Husqvarna) and the other 1/2 was loyal to Stihl and demanded at least 1/2 be white to be like original Stihl.

Simple explanation......;).[/QUOTE]

Hey @bennn*e as I look to guys like you here :)

What's the Stihl apprenticeship program like. Have spoken to the B & B Hardware, owner here in Perth x2 shops re learning the trade and there is a possibility when one of his guys retires soonish(this year)

Cheers
James
