Maybe just buy a 25ft roll and see what you think, less outlay for a young bloke to get started after buying
the spinner/breaker at the same time.

Yeah I think that might be a good way to start off considering a 100ft roll is nearly $500

Should be a bit less than that, I think you can get Carlton for closer to or leads than $400
But do you use all the same chain as I have made 3*114 3*84 2*105 and still have a lot left.
25' @<$150 delivered lets you get a 325 3/8p or .404 as well for the money
The 100'rolls @$300(eBay) are 'supposed' to be good un branded chain.

All the chains I will make up will be for my 20" bar. I think it may be 72dl for my husky, correct me if I'm wrong

You'll get 22 chains with spare from a full roll.
Can you ever see yourself with a different size bar.
Is there still 10*72dl of Carlton for circa $200 on eBay, because that may be cheaper if that's all you run and consider a grinder or a fg2 to reset the angles from to to time with the other$300

.404 is only in large spline so no option for small and mini spline.

Thanks for the info Bennie. Are there step up/down spline adapters?

I spent the day in the shed with a few beers as well putting a reco'd pump and injectors in the 80 series.

what did the injectors cost ya and where did you get them

Cost $1450 for pump and injectors. $450 of that being injectors from reliable diesel at Engadine in sydney. Not the cheapest or most expensive but service was first class. Got to have a look at the workshop while I was there too and it was an honest little shop. [emoji106]

Yeah it was sorry Pete, you can either send yours first or pay a deposit and he'll send them straight away and you get the deposit back when he gets yours.

Nah fuel economy was good, the pump started leaking. Put a new o-ring in it and it still leaked so figured it was getting high pressure somewhere it shouldn't. Just did the injectors cause I figured it was time after 250,000ks. Seems to go better but that could be the injector timing as it had never been checked in the time I'd owned it.

Nah fuel economy was good, the pump started leaking. Put a new o-ring in it and it still leaked so figured it was getting high pressure somewhere it shouldn't. Just did the injectors cause I figured it was time after 250,000ks. Seems to go better but that could be the injector timing as it had never been checked in the time I'd owned it.

yeah mines done 440ks but i think there been replaced before i bought it, still getting 11/100 out of it with no turbo

Wonder how much it would take to adjust the magazine capacity?

Ours is just the std DX model , with the barn doors, couldnt get much more std than mine, just put new rear diff centre in , 1200 bucks
I like our old truck, not fast but im not worried about that, im never in that bigger hurry

Mm interesting as mine was supposed be in first shipment but guessing it was only a smallish number brought in. As for mag capacity they sell kits for other guns to do it, longer tube(extension) &spring job done. I wouldn't risk it however

how did you set the injector timing , drip or get some mob to do it ?
