There's a plug in the back of the pump. Just pull it out and put a dial in there onto the back of the plunger and set the stroke to a given distance at tdc. Same for the hilux pumps to [emoji6]
hmmm i was told it was like timing a dizzy and had to rotate the pump cheeky bugger .

this sounds a lot easier and more efficient i will have to look in to it as this vid is my pump unless i run 2 stroke oil in it..

now i have heard all the ******** about it doing nothing but my pump has been leaking like a second hand sieve for 3 years

and when i run 2 stroke it stops in about 300k and when i fill up without by the time i get home (17k) it leaks more than it burns

[emoji15] that's a leak! Mine was no where near that bad.
Yeah ya still gotta turn the pump like a dizzy, that's how you set the stroke at tdc. Out of the half dozen toyota diesels I've owned (mostly hiluxs and one I ran on everything from jet1 to old maccas oil) this was the first to give me trouble. Touch wood. You should be able to get hilux pump and injectors for under a grand if you shop around too. Never heard of the 2 stroke trick, I should of tried it to get past rego. Haha.

YEP she piss's out all right but if i run the 2 stroke it stops , but i think i have to do something quick i just got back from a mud run and

**** it was funny i just went through a big bog and just out the other side she crapped out just like a petrol with a wet dizzy had us beat

for a minute so i cracked the last injector and the line was full of air so it got in somewhere .

but after this she ran like a top and never missed a beat .

Haha, wow, that is getting pretty bad. If the 2 stroke works you should just try a 50/50 diesel/chip oil mix. Fix ya leak and save money on fuel at the same time. [emoji2] I'm a bit worried about going back to chip oil now that I know what a pumps worth.

and another thing is i can't get me pump done around here for less than $1300 and that is if i take it off bugger that

Sweet! Which one are you getting?

Millers Falls 40t with the large work bench.....from the Red Shed in Bunyip.....they go for $1690 on Ebay or $1650 in store...... $100 off via Ebay.

It's the one MCW has but the new model which has tapered wheel bearings, the base plate has been strengthened and the UC (H beam) has been up sized. ....same engine pump etc....

I was tempted to go for one a couple of hundred more and more tonnage, but I'd rather not take the risk and just go with something that has stood the test of time and the retailer isn't far away and has been around for a long time.

Have you already got it or can you ask in store to buy at eBay price without 10% fees
