Hi gents
Good to see the younguns getting into firearms.
I have a story for yous that happened to me last weekend and after 40 odd years or shooting that made me think you can never be to carefull around fire arms.
I took a couple of rifles out for a shot (the two brothers ) as in pics bellow and after shooting a group with the .243 set up the .270 WSM on the bench rest to do the same and as i got settled i had left my ear muffs on the tailgate of the ute,so i got up and walked around the front of the rifle (no room betweeen set up and ute to get around the back) i looked at the muzzle as i went past and noticed something in it.
Turned out the be a .22 case logged in the muzzle ? WTF and i must say it wouldnt of never fallen out it was hard to pull it out with a pocket knive levered against the rim of the case.
How it got there.
I have more rifles than rifle bags so they get swopped around a bit so this bag must of been in the ute when using the .22 to shoot out the window and a case has been flicked into the bag and has been ther for dont know how long, the .270 was put into the bag and yep ended up in the muzzle..
When your lucky your lucky and when your not your not.

Anyway they both still shoot all good.

Nice Wild dogs mate.

Question
My Mobilco Big 10 runs 16:1 fuel mix
Now using stihl Ultra HP 2 cycle oil do i mix 60ml to 1 lt to make 16:1
Originally 30wt.
Does see in a oil there's on this site that used oil as mix, another was a trouble saw with a stuckup dirty airfilter that had bar oil mixed with gas for 2 years

hey Andrew i had a similar thing happen years ago and now have a bag for every rifle and

i am very ocd about what go's in what bag it took a couple a years to train my 2 sons but i won

they now know what go's where .

now the prob i had was very similar to yours but was found not long after it happened we were

culling over the wheat and i had the 243 in the back in a bag and the action open and so was the

bag some how a 223 case had flicked over in the back when things got heated and then after they

wised up a bit and stayed out yonder a bit i got out and put the 223 away and grabbed the 243 shoved

some ammo in the mag and tried to stuff one up the chamber and it wouldn't go all the way , mate

when i seen what was in the chamber i told every one to unload and have a look bloody scary ****.

now on a brighter not this was Wednesdays efort at 1216 yards and yep i am pretty chuffed .

i been pondering wondering confused with shooting long ranges up or down hills valleys slopes,, what bullet drop rise or adjustment if any is required hmm a trajectory graph vs rise fall would be good,,,,, do you need to tweak poi or just keep it same
