Hi Al!!!

I like the way you've utilised pre existing tek screws on the roof instead of drilling new ones everywhere like the average Hillbilly installer :)

Geeze guys, I get nearly all my spare parts out of the US (or Germany). I want to be loyal to the local dealers but I am sick of being bent over the counter. I can order parts from the US and receive them faster than if I go to the dealer down the road - and save $$$ too.

Thanks for starting up an Oz thread.

Al.

Hi, can I ask where do you buy from overseas? I know what you mean by the local stealerships, but I have to say a couple of things lately have been very competitive, $20-$50 items only but still better than online!

Yes, thanks for the Aussie thread!

Here's a bit of Aussie dribble: http://www.arboristsite.com/chainsaw/205933.htm

Probably best to find out who, what, when, and where in private messages mate. At the moment there is of course Asia and the US but the UK is also very competitive on some items.
As far as saws go you have to know someone in the US/UK to get them for you to avoid dealer rules about selling online.

Also where in the Western Districts are you?

No problems, will do on the PM...I'm in a little place called Tarrington, just south of Hamilton (very wet at the moment too)

Cheers!

Atom isn't listed in any catalogues I have, new or old. What mount do those things take?

I wish I knew  I found a Oregon 168 _ H009 which is close but the tail is too narrow, when I tighten the chain cover the chain jams in the bar rails.
When I first bought the Atom some bright spark fitted a 16" 3/8 LP bar and chain, the oil hole was 10mm out... this is a 60cc saw.

Might be easier if you looked for a bar to suit a 620 Solo as their much the same basic saw.

On a lighter note

Great for smaller items but i bought the simple hose and gun so i can use a large bucket of sand and blast out in the yard that way the sand helps fill in any undulations in the yard i have a 14 cu in compressor to power it with so that helps a bit i suppose.

hope your using the correct PPE,breathing that dust will give you serious health problems
