Maybe you should pull the Stihl logo and bar cover off then Bob. You seem to be proud of it's Chinese heritage yet dress it up like the real deal.

The following MS720 was purchased from an Australian dealer just the other day. Stihl Australia even have a part number on their system...

It wasn't cheap but then again it's a pretty cool saw, not that I'd buy one but at least you know it would run properly compared to the Chinasaws. German made too including the P&C.

Well what i have will serve its purpose weather you like it or not has little to do with it after all you told me you supply ching stuff on the Dolmar stuff the boys have so are you saying the stuff you sell is better as its chinese too./
/
Now the MS720 hasn't chainbrake so what are Stihl up to selling non compliying saws into the Australian market place .... so if it did come from Stihl they better be careful ...... but if its a cleverly disquised chinese wonder machine who cares who cuts they leg off ..... until the insurance fellas get news of it then look out ...... good old Stihl there playing both sides the fence./
/
Another thing even right back in the seventies Stihl god help them were using chinese parts in their saws along with stuff from the Phillipines and Taiwan made under the label of Robert Borsh /
/
Yes at one stage i was a god fearing Stihl dealer too not that i sold many .... we were part of the Combined Rural Traders group in Maitland /

Well actually Bobbit I've never pawned anything off making out it's the real deal when it's not. I've sold heaps of Chinese aftermarket parts for Stihl, Husky, and Dolmar but can't say I've ever started a thread with a Chinese saw yet blatantly called it a Stihl. I can't believe you're still dropping pictures of that thing into other threads and have left it coated in dodgey Stihl stickers.

Apple mac ,Ipod ...and even updated to a Handsfree ....he's stepping it up, hanging with the big dogs

Yeah thats a fiar enough comment.
Its not just a tag. Well it is on your saw.
But the ones without are missing more than a tag.

But when I was looking on Gumtree last night theres a few new stihl saws near me for sale. Advertised as Stihl but the only thing Stihl I see in the pic is a rollmatic bar wrapped in plastic still.
Everything else is just an orange square.

Even on the box its got M before the model, not MS.

So thats not just a chainsaw. Well it is but someone is peddling that fake #### off as the real deal.
If you do that with clothing and DVD's they really get up ya.

One guy makes the $$$$ out of the imposter saw. Vs, the importer/distributor and dealer making their bit and employing people and using the hard earned reputation to do so.

If the saw is even remotely the colour of the saw it was copied off and not clearly marked with unremovable decals to identify the brand/maker it should not be allowed in the country.

yeah but what chits me about the clothing is when there found out, and charged for selling counterfeit goods and what not, which is fine ... but the stupid arse government/customs who ever, burn/shred the bloody clothing ....why burn it? send it over to them poor countries, where they still wear leaves and bark to hide there ding dongs and jingles
