:laugh:A girl ran over an innerspring mattress on the highway,
and decided not to worry -- and kept on driving.

Lol! but I have done something similar...

I was slashing long grass and managed to wrap up a role of that thick wire mesh in the slasher.

And the fencing boys said they cleaned up after themselves :msp_sneaky:

I was out slashing and wedged the blade in a chunk of wood about 18 inches across and three foot long. Didnt even get a 1/3 of the way in. But it was in far enough that I couldnt get the sucker out.
Fried the clutch on the slasher gearbox to a crisp.

Same plantation I had the side wall of a back tyre slashed, must have been some wire spat out or something. Took it and got it patched/vulcanised. Patch blew out on the trailer on the way back to put back on the tractor, took it back and gave them another shot at it. It lasted another 12 months, same block, same tractor, same tyre, this time the boss was driving.

Back to reality.:msp_sneaky:

Has anyone attached a 394 carby to a 2100. i know they bolt straight up, but how the heck do you get the throttle to work?:bang: This being for a every day saw of coarse.

take the plastic bit off (where the cable attaches the throttle shaft) the 94 walbro shaft and then drill a hole above so the throttle opens forward. You will need to make another linkage rod a bit longer but the same shape as the 2100 original.
If you don't have something stiff enough to make a new rod, i can bring you something on the weekend.

Sounds like another 2100 is about to spring to life,,,, for every day use of coarse.

Don't listen to Neil Dean, the cable tie will work just fine.

Matt, not sure about the cable tie thing
When I grew up on the farm, if you couldn't fix it with a bit of number 8 wire, then it probably was not worth fixing.
In saying that, I have grown up a little and experienced life outside of tractors and cows. I have learnt that the more technical things appear to be is because they probably are!!! :D

Thanks Neil for the info, I may need to take you up on the special wire for the throttle lever. I may have a spare push bike spoke laying around, wonder if that will do the trick.

This here image is what happens when co-ordination and timing goes ass up. Sunday arvo, playing soccer with my daughter and trying to show what i used to be able to do. No give in Mother Earth when you kick her. It hurt for about - ages - and still hurts. haven't had any xray yet as it's felling better day by day. Just need to keep it of the ground at regular intervals of the day. Boring as bat ****, sitting around home not doing much. playing in the shed is limited in time due to the gravity and pulling of pressure on my toe. Need a good book or a mag. Any suggestions :confused2:

Another thing I have seen which would be very handy is from model shops. My dad bought a small bender for piano wire from a hobby shop to make up linkages for model aeroplane servos etc. That would be a very handy little tool for throttle linkages etc although I'm sure cruder methods would do the job :)

Good luck Darren. They'll crank him up on intravenous antibiotics mate and I'm sure he'll be fine. They'll probably also keep a close eye on his kidney function too.

Matt,,, if that bender is like the one mower shops use to make up new cables ect, it would be very handy. They put the little kink in the end so neat and easily.
No i don't have one.
