Al (Nardoo) sent me a nice looking Echo CS 452 VL (not running) and a ratty looking one for parts.
It had good compression, spark and was getting fuel, the problem had to be a massive air leak or the timing was out,
I pulled the flywheel cleaned and adjusted the point points, put it back together and she started after 4 pulls.

This is the fist Echo saw I've worked on..It looks to be a well built little saw.

Wow thats a massive trip over chrissy mad motoring break n summer heat tis not for me, you take care sport

hint enjoy the ocean road but do it early in the am over summer break its a no fun after 12pm on school holidays

wallets still gone, black leather usual cards crap about $150 I resigned to letting serendipity find it for me.

Just done a quick check,,,
townsville qld to melbourne vic, one way = 2633km or 29 hours
so double that and add more for the other bits and it adds up to a big drive.
