The Slammer - Kiwi Super Tool. Made in New Zealand

That's a bloody good tool mate, i'm going to make one. The amount of times I have thought along those lines then forgot about it. Like today I had to change a flat truck tire on the job, I had the tire almost off the rim and the rust stopped it slideing off, I tapped the tire close to the rim with a sledge but that bar would get right up to the rim edge close and do the job.
great little invention.

Interested in doing a post rip demo next year Neil ?

yea we could proberbly arrange that Rick.

I helped my mate with the local tyre service change a tractor tyre the other day and he was a big slide hammer/tyre lever doover.

Works well, when you aren't sconing yourself with it :D

Yeah we was using that same tool yesterday! I may have put 4 ton of sand in the little fergy 1.5t trailer and the crusty old tires didn't like it... :msp_rolleyes:

A dozer blade does a good job on the tire bead too.

Those Kiwis have some good ideas :msp_thumbup:

yup it been really handy tool you can put force right where you want no swinging hoping for the hit and it seems to amplify the hit by its kinetics
sure a good 6 foot crow bars $100 bucks cheaper but
I've spanked though bitumen and its real good for prioring apart stubborn roots de barking logs or trenching in clays I bought mine with other bloke he uses his weekly digging twas good deal same freight for 2 so buy 2 sell one or gift it on or make one could be done if your got real work shop skills but the steel slide fit and welds may be trouble some

Hey what was the starting procedure with that twin Neil? Get Dean or Will to start it for you? :D

I gather it was through the one starter?

IS THE BASE OF THE JUG SYMMETRICAL?

just thing you could bolt them together with the sprockets or clutches ( are they outboard?) together and turn the piston around on the rod and bolt the jug on backwards.

The saw would be well balanced (insert nickos name)

Dean has proberbly had a run with it, I can't remember now.

Had a run with Neil's 3120 twin, and loved it. Back then there wasn't a lot of engine development, just raw power. I remember boring as per our usual cutting sequence and when The bar tip broke through the other side, You needed to lean back to hold it, but i didn't and it pulled me forward into the block and the cutting dogs buried themselves into the block. Man I wanted on just like back then and I would still love to own one today. You now just to polish and sit on the mantle.:msp_wink:

Dean, do you remember any of these blokes from the mid 90's. 3 are still competing today.

Picked up a 084 today, when I picked it up it turned into 3. was going to do one up and pass onto the stihl race community. Just got them home, 1 call and they are now sold off , very popular saw the 084.

I the 3 still racing today are B Rumble; M Jones & N Onley. There Is a young T Tahana who in his day was pretty good. The old bloke is familiar but I can't put a name on him. That would be a gaggle of blokes

$1.52 ULP, $1.53 diesel.

I'd rather have the ul discounts as I dont have anything diseasel nowadays.

And today was the last day of agfest - tassies field day show.

Good day all up. Bought just a few bitsn pieces, but some reasonable Stihl and Honda deals. Nearly impulse bought a Honda eu20 genny.... But don't really need one.

Thinking about a drive to look at a 3.5t tandem trailer maybe even tomorrow. 10'x4.5' built for a mini excavator but would do wood well, with a cage.

Agfest is awesome. I've been to a few big field days in my time but that was well and truly an eye opener :) Good luck with the trailer.
Did New Norfolk Mowers (?) have their Makita chainsaws on sale again? The owner of that shop is the only one I've ever seen that have taken Makitas seriously in their store.

I'm guessing diesel is around $1.55, that's what it usually is here but will have a look in the morning when i go into town for the Saturday paper, (I know, I know but SWMBO wouldn't stop when we drove past this morning)
Can't recall what ULP is, only ever buy 98 PULP in a 20l jerry from town 30km away as all we have here is halfway PULP (95) and frig only knows how often that's turned over ???

You go into town on a Sunday to buy the Saturday paper?
Hmmm, interesting :D

LPG 58c/L , It was very nice of John Howard to cover the cost of my gas conversion :msp_thumbsup:

I've been burning around in a dedicated LPG FG Falcon for the last 6 weeks or so. Gas at 78c/L sounded awesome until I realised this thing is averaging 13.8L/100km. Still cheaper to run than the equivalent petrol model but you can't exactly carry a couple of extra jerry cans filled with LPG if you're going across the Nullarbor.
I'm down your way this Tuesday picking up my new Ranger on Port Road :)

Yep! that's what scares me about dedicated LPG, I'm happier with dual fuel.

Drop in for a coffee if you have time, I'll show you my latest toys :)

Sadly I won't be heading over that side of the city so will have to look another day :)
The coffee is tempting though.
