I'm still laughing after reading the saw dyno thread. The dyno is excellent, somebody's posts however made me laugh :D

Belangary State Forest Wauchope early 00's
Another side to the industries hidden dangers, this accident on state forest never made it out of the forest.
The new guy 2nd day on the job learns the hard way what not to do in steep country.
He lived, he jumped out when she over reved and he had no chance of holding her any longer.
The trailer wheels hit him on the way past but knocked him up the bank.
His timber carreer over, nerves completely gone and it took him a long time to recover from the ordeal.

Faaaaaark.

Dear old Dad put the wind up me as a little tacker with stories about wild timber jinkers out of control on forestry roads.

We used to spend a fair bit of time exploring the old state forests and the jinkers usually had a pretty good head of steam when you'd invariably meet them on a blind corner in the middle of no-where.

Dont drivers get a shotgun rider till they have shown their capable .............. sounds like an expensive learning curve to me

I drove for Hunter Valley Coaches and no one went single serve till the boss said so regardless of so called experiance i drove double deckers and stopped driving them as i seen what happens when another driver went straight under a low bridge thank goodness the bus was empty imagine if it had been a full load of kids at the start of year there could have up to 90 kids on that bus

The boss had the bus parked in plain view in the holding yard to make sure everyone got the message

I dont think that is going to buff out anytime soon.

Ms241

Hi everybody,

Hope all is well with everybody here.

While I am waiting (hoping) that my McCulloch decides to die soon, it cant be far away, the only problem is that once it gets going it cuts like a demon with the new bar and chain from Matt :msp_biggrin: The motor will be fine, the plastic will fail before the motor does.

I had a look at the Stihl website at the MS241CM, which I am targeting as its replacement, and saw the price was $1099. Seems to me that it's got a bit cheaper. Is that the case or is it just wishful thinking. I think the MS241 would be a good small saw for what I am doing, with the MS441 doing the larger stuff.

Morning Graham :)
Yeah the 241 has dropped in price and only recently. I think Stihl probably realised they wouldn't shift many 241's at the previous price. They are an excellent little saw but the general Australian public associate price with capacity so the term "pro saw" means very little to the average punter.
I think there also may be a cash back offer too at the moment?

Ms241

Yes I remember the MS241 used to be $1249, there was really no difference between it and the MS261.

The MS261 will probably go up when the mtronic version comes out.
