Good stuff Steve.

While we're here, can we do something about that Matt dude ?

The bastard keeps giving me grief when I give him hell.

He's always got a comeback to my lines that I reckon are crackers and it's giving me the ####s.

I mean, he's a mate and everything but sheesh, there's limits to what a bloke can take ;)

Ta.

:D

FWIW Bob's been pretty crafty, just push, prod, poke, just like the kids did when sitting in the back row way back in school and it's hard to know from an outsiders perspective what's what.

Get stuffed Rick ya mongrel.
Anyway I'm not a bastard as my parents were married when I was born. Allegedly.

Get a room, you two!

:msp_biggrin:

This is proof that you can only BS for so long before you get caught out on the interwebs. What you post stays there for a long time. If you're going to talk crap you also have to have a good memory so you don't come unstuck by contradicting yourself at a later date. Nuff said...

Bugger.

Not having much luck lately, eh ?

well to quote the Hilltop Hoods "If ignornace is bliss, you're a happy mother ####er" Now this is not a go at you mate, as you know, I know, what you know........ just a statement of if you dont have a clue something aint right then you dont have a problem with it being wrong.

So I guess we should thank the political and coporate leaders of the western world for the dumbing down of the masses becasue they only have our happiness in mind :msp_scared:

this sucks poor lad Driver killed after tree branch pierced windscreen of car in Kilsyth No Cookies | Herald Sun

unfair world, you never hear of tree falling on a deserving type of person,, you know like pedo politician :msp_angry:,, its always a good decent tax payer who gits it served up cold

Yeah mate that's bad luck for sure. Amazes me though that they put the death against the road toll but I suppose that's how the numbers work.

Dont pick your scabs:

So I was sitting on the toliet at mums, and these 2 little bubbles in the plaster have been bugging me...and have got a little worse in the last few months. Since I was already setting/patching the hall ceiling for her I figured whats the difference. These 2 bubbles have been there a very long time and I figured they were the tips of screws coming through a backing block holding a plumbing fitting for the vanity in the bathroom on the other side of the wall. So I picked away with my fingernail, the paint and plaster coming off a little to easy..in no time I have a hole about 50mm dia, all with only my fingernail. Wasnt the screws I thought, but rather just 2 nails fixing the plaster board to the stud rusting badly (Rust grows and expands so it pushes plaster out, same reason it causes concrete cancer as it grows on the steel reinforcing and the concrete cannot expand) hmmmm, I figure give it a quick patch and investigate further when time permits. I mix up some base coat and patch. A day later it hasnt gone off properly....can only mean moisture! Oh well, no difference in patching a 200x200 hole than cutting a 1600x1200 sheet out to check proper. (Serious there is rearly no difference in time) So I take the skirting and architrave off and remove the lower wall sheet, expecting to find a copper pipe and small leak. As Im pulling the board off there is mold on the back and its a little damp in sections........remove the sheet and there is NO PLUMBING in this wall! WTF???? cleaned everything up and where the 2 rusty nails are/were there is the smallest amount of rot in the stud (approx 300mm off floor) that goes down to the bottom plate and a small amount there. There is no sign of leaking water etc, btw this is an internal wall perpandicular to the external wall..... I have cleaned everything and will let sit for a week or so to see if anything changes or appears.

Dont pick your scabs....it just causes more problems! :bang:

I hear ya, I was goin to do a quick repaint of a room in my house before I rented it out! Well you know that stupid horse hair plaster, well I tryed patching a few hair line cracks! And it would just keep bubbling up so a few hairlines turned into a major pain in the arse!!!!!

Good morning guys, and thanks for your support and PM's / emails yesterday.

Miserable day here Neil, can only imagine how bad it is up on the tops where you are.
It was awful @ 4:00 o'clock, it's no better in daylight, in fact it so bad I'm seriously considering grocery shopping instead of anything else this morning :dizzy:

Although it's not forecast I wouldn't have been surprised if we got any white stuff yesterday arvo, the rain was sleet half the time I swear and it looks the same this morning.
Just not cold enough overall ATM I'm guessing, that's all.

Yup a bit chilly over here too, the phone said is was 4C when I went out this morning but it felt more like 7C.

So cold that I had to start the navara with the old petrol rag in the intake trick, took some winding over but we got her going in the end...

Okay thats not true, but new cars are pretty amazing these days... just turn the key no matter what weather you're in.

Any direct injected diesel should be fine without even glowing well down past zero, it's the IDI ones like the TD42 in the Patrols that really do need decent glow plugs in the cold. We even give ours a double or triple dose on the really cold starts.

I reckon we'll be lucky to top out into double digits today and the wind isn't very nice ATM :(

It actually hit 15* here yesterday, I was walking around all morning in just a flanny shirt. Then the weather turned right at lunch time.

Got some funny looks too :D

OK, I had my Bisley work daks on too :p
And a hippy beanie :D

Lol, Rick in a hippy beanie... that would be worth seeing :wink2:

I remember starting the old Lister "cold start" diesels as a boy and mann did they take some cranking below zero. Without the "compression increaser nob thingy" and blow torch you would have no hope. The starter motor sure was a good idea.
