well I thought it might be good to share some living trees instead of the ones of the other fate.... Ill post up some more. BTW I planted all these in the mid 90's, all chosen by my mate. There is a good chance that tree is the only one on the Gold Coast.

Yes , game two will be interesting.
They have cancelled the helicopters for next Wednesday and Thursday up here in PNG and will fly on Friday for security reasons.
Apparently the lower half of PNG as I am told goes for the Bronco's and the upper half are Blues.
They say the locals end up killing each other with machete's etc after the game as they go off on it literally.
I never knew they were that into Aussie State of Origin.
Apparently there are a few PNG players in the teams in Aus
Just glad I am flying home the week after that.
Never seen so much stainless steel razor wire in my life, up here. :msp_scared:

Glad to hear it. My mate nearly ended up getting killed over there - held a heap of black fellas off while his pilot got the chopper going. Ended up just making it out alive but was busted up pretty bad. They were all happy one minute and trying to kill him the next.
They used to lock up all the machetes, axes etc in their compound after work and he reckons if the gear wasn't locked up him and the pilot would have been hacked to death for sure.
He was a trained paramedic but working in OH&S and said some of the injuries and wounds he saw from machetes were horrific. Pregnant women basically gutted was standard fare.

Yeah , we hear a few weeks ago that one security mob started shooting at another security mob, then the Prime Minister stayed at the hotel we use as a helicopter check in point , so all the cops were there, no one at the police station so the locals stole all the guns from the police station.
Then the trip before that, Black Jesus, an inmate who thought he was god and impregnated all these young girls and other crimes , well him and a group walked out the jail at shift change. Found out yesterday the cops short him dead.
Then I heard last night the cops went to break up a meeting or something like that and cut heaps of poeples Achilles tendons on them.
I would not be here except for the fact we had no choice or leave and loose all your entitlements

mum and dad were there in the late 60's,dad was working for some construction mob in the mountains or something,blowing stuff up ,he reakoned he could walk just about any where cause he used to pay them off with a sheet of news paper and some tobacco,i guess it would be a little different now days,probly have to give them a carton of vb ,an ipod and probably a few grand and then maybe they won't kill you slowly

An older fellow here who used to be a bank manager in Oz way back managed a plantation up there in the sixties/seventies and has said it was a different place back when PNG was an Oz dependency.

I'm all for self determination, but when it results in paradise going to hell in a hand cart..........it's worse than sad and in a lot of ways could have we done better by PNG ?
Dunno, but I almost feel we owe them, just for what the people did for our blokes during WWII and they are our neighbours afterall.

There's a lot of PNG people wanting Oz to step back in and take over too, but it will never happen.
OK, maybe shouldn't say never, but highly bloody unlikely. It's just not PC these days to be a white fella and look like a colonialist.

Hey I feel a bit that way too mate but just remember that for every fuzzy wuzzy angel helping us there was another one helping the Japs.
Sometimes they have to help themselves though and as time goes on I feel we need to look after ourselves more and if our neighbours want to take a #### on us then we #### on them back. My mate that was in PNG was helping these black fellas (they were actually well paid employees and treated very well) and then whammo, the ringleader started jabbering on about wanting more money and two minutes later they were trying to kill him.
It also always amazes me that our government thinks we have to suckhole to Indonesia. We don't owe them #### all. We give them millions in aid and they send us scumbags.
