Have not seen a single Chinese 070 for a while now, sure enough the bloody things are still there. Time to block again, thanks Matt for making me see my mistake.

edit, Done.

Remind me to give you a slap around the head when I see you next for being so foolish...

The weather has been rather wet and cold down here in Vic so cutting firewood is serious business atm. Some tree felling is also required so I had to set up my saw with HD spikes, that stringy barks needs some good aggressive grip. I couldn't find a good HD spike for this model so I decided to knock one up this arvo.

Heres the end result, hope to test them out soon.

Lost a bit of bar length but I can always upgrade the 12" bar to 16" or even 20" if I get into really heavy timber.

You probably guessed the saw model already, but its one of the famous ozito/brummer-ag saws. 25cc of raw wrist snapping power!

Rudi has got a ozito in ''other colours'', wow they seem popular and yours has a full compliment LP chain to boot, awesome my beast has skip tooth in 3/8 LP and I had an idea they would not pull full chain.

Nice job on the dogs mate.

Thanks Neil

Oh really, I hadn't noticed the skip chain. This one pulls the chain pretty good for what it is.

Nice job rudi!! Can go into production now and sell them on eBay.
The braemer AG go ok. I got a hedge trimmer which well! And it survived my brother using too !

Sadly I ended up with AS30 which completely ruined my day...
The rabbits I shot with my girly loads actually died from blunt force trauma, not penetrating wounds :)

sell it to some one who uses soft cock load out of a 38spl

edit oops should I delete that I thought the site got rid of the nono words

Just herd back from my mechanic that my wagon shagged the timing chain and need a new engine!!!! Bloody alloytechs perfect timing to as my weddings in 2 months! Now how to avoid selling my saws to pay for it arreggghh

that's easy sell the wedding haha

Hah hah. Me and a mate made our own black powder back at school nearly 25 years ago - sort of worked OK but nothing like bought black powder. Making smokeless powder is a wee bit different :)

we did that matt slow "cooked" charcoal saltpeter and some sulphur and with the recipe that me mate had it worked good

sorry for the multiple posts just catching up :byebye:

anybody got or know where to find a list of stihl saws produced in the last 10yrs?

I had a 10yo catalogue somewhere but not sure where I put it now.

Not much has changed in the last 10 years, most of what they have now plus the 200t, 260, 290, 310, 390, 361, 440, 460 and maybe a few others.

Yeah, it looks like a Stihl.... And goes as good too ???? :potstir:

I was only joking about slapping you Neil. I know full well that you would lunge forward like a lightning bolt and headbutt me right in the ballbag.

What's scary though, is that would excite you..... Bit like a frisky goat.... :msp_scared:

I offered $200 for a lightly seized 395 that's in nice condition yesterday.

The dealer had offered $100, and the blokes mum reckon they were being had, so :msp_biggrin:

The piston isn't the worst I've seen so the cylinder may even still be Ok or at least recoverable but I could see a Cutty Cutty™ Big Bore kit in its future :msp_wub:

Wish me luck.
