Well,,,,, I can see the subject tonight and it appears its all going over my frail little head.

2 hours snow dis afternoon, more ice than snow but it was no fun at all.

just looked outside, still trying but the wind is massive tonight, just a few flakes swirling round

It was just sleeting/drizzling here in the lower hills today but frigging cold just the same.

It's my work truck Vince, I have to spend something on it ;)

Dare I say that the GU ute has 100,000 more km yet gets less attention as ahem, less goes wrong ? :monkey:

Can't complain, I won't be parting with the Deefer anytime soon :D

Just buy a dirty old econovan :hmm3grin2orange: and burn the oil drippa.

I wouldn't have thought adding oil daily would be that hard, it's not like you need to change it? :msp_tongue:

Well what a day today ladies, sunshine, huge frost at day light, wind has died down so much difference to yesterday. Day is warming up nicely indeed.

we had sleet / snow most of the arvy yesterday, no rain, if the wind had dropped we would of got buckets of snow instead of 1/2 inch.

There weather is really good here on the sunny coast, nice and warm at 23C. Oh and the cute barista (female) makes pretty good coffee too :msp_biggrin:

Oh and did I mention I am at the beach...

Yeah mine has been getting a birthday lately with pads/discs, coupla steering parts headlight uprade, LED's etc.

I have a tad larger turbo (TD05 18G ) and an intercooler on order for the old girl.

I have the Airlocker in the front but only the shimmed rear LSD so I'm undecided about which locker to get. Have been considering Eaton E locker.

what did u do with the headlights? HID's? nice turbo. they go great with those i hear.
are you that unhappy with the LSD rear? i love mine. i know they are the best off road, but on road i couldn't live a single spinner.
the Eaton E lockers are the way to go. but if u have air locker up front, would u keep air locker for rear too?

Air flow through the standard inlet and duct is crap though and can be hugely improved.

ARE in Qld do a (supposedly) vastly improved scoop and duct.

I like the look of a Laminova setup, anyone have any data one them ?

another idea to spend more money... 4" snorkel from Milweld in Mansfield. can get a 3L air box lid or a billet one machined up for better flow.
type in laminova into the search function on the patrol forum. the w2a i have is a laminova.:msp_thumbup:

Yep, seen the air box mods and it's been a while (like a few years) since reading the Laminova thread/s (I'm a member there too :D)

I've done some snorkel/inlet duct mods on the Landy, which is one area no one seems to bother with.

Just don't ever be tempted to use a K&N or similar, they're a rock catcher only.

I used to use them on race engines and they were fine, the modified ones a mate and I used on customer cars made more power than no air filter but they have no place in a dusty environment.

Ben/isuzurover on here is a filtration engineer and just don't get him started on K&N's

Never thought I'd see this again :D

The only thing better would being there and it being a real race meeting, not a private test day ;)
