Getting OT again (what ! in this thread !!??) the Landy is a getting a little loving ATM, and not before time.

Dropped the centre section of my home built 3" exhaust and cut out the home made 3" bore straight through muffler and welded in a Hooker Aerotech muffler.

I told one of the girls at the local cafe I was so put out that she didn't love me anymore I had to go and buy a Hooker in a box, as I walked in carrying the new muffler with HOOKER emblazoned all over it (The PO is just down the street from the cafe) :monkey:

Nicely constructed with reasonable gauge steel even though it's made in the PRC. (you can almost guarantee it's from Aussie mined ore and possibly Aussie coking coal.

Wondered why the old girl was a tad loud until I cut the old muffler out and found most all the tiny little holes I'd used down the centre section were blocked with soot :msp_rolleyes:

I can hear the manifold leak now at the head :D

Fitted a new oil pressure sender to fix one oil leak (yes, there's heaps more....) and replaced one front windscreen vent seal. Whoo hoo ! no more freezing draft but damn, it wasn't a five minute job. Whatever adhesive they use for the foam seal could glue the space shuttle together, it took forty minutes and copious amounts of various carcinogenic solvents and much elbow grease to remove. Had to resort to trying to soften it with the solvent and scraping with a knife. How the hell half of it had managed to unstick itself is beyond as the other half was there for keeps.

A new extended capacity t/case sump is on its way and Serg, a quote from Tom Woods in the US is coming (two emails have been sent) for a new front DC driveshaft. I need it soon as the current uni's are on their last legs. I think I've bound them once too many times.......
There's a new windscreen and seal waiting to fit, and probably a new vacuum pump Matt/460cixy. Karcraft told me the other day they had a bad batch and they'll send another out if I want it.

Sorry, no piccies, can't upload ATM for some reason, but if you've seen one exhaust pipe you've seen 'em all....

I offered $200 for a lightly seized 395 that's in nice condition yesterday.

The dealer had offered $100, and the blokes mum reckon they were being had, so :msp_biggrin:

The piston isn't the worst I've seen so the cylinder may even still be Ok or at least recoverable but I could see a Cutty Cutty™ Big Bore kit in its future :msp_wub:

Wish me luck.

Good score Rick, and worth the $200.00. My advise is unbolt the cylinder and piston, ring Matt and order a new 56mm Mako kit, I have had one being tested in my log yard now for 6 months and its running fine.

Still a very cheap saw and if you decide its not what you want I can easily on sell it for you as they are very popular.

Jesus not the headbutt in the ball bag trick matt you must be a tall bastard 5'2" ?

Bloody smart ass. have a good day folks.

Haven't got it in my grubby little hands yet Neil, I'm awaiting a response on my offer but not holding my breath knowing the family but it's wortha shot :D

It's my work truck Vince, I have to spend something on it ;)

Dare I say that the GU ute has 100,000 more km yet gets less attention as ahem, less goes wrong ? :monkey:

Can't complain, I won't be parting with the Deefer anytime soon :D

Yeah mine has been getting a birthday lately with pads/discs, coupla steering parts headlight uprade, LED's etc.

I have a tad larger turbo (TD05 18G ) and an intercooler on order for the old girl.

I have the Airlocker in the front but only the shimmed rear LSD so I'm undecided about which locker to get. Have been considering Eaton E locker.

Hey guys thanks for the video camera advice, I ended up getting a basic model Panasonic, I don't need wifi or built in projector.
Spare batteries are not cheap...$148 for a genuine Panasonoc HD :msp_ohmy:....I'll wait until generic ones are available.
I took this video this arvo, my little Echo struggling with Ironbark.

Matt is 5' 1" tall? .. he's shrunk a foot since the last time I saw him, must be all the chemicals he plays with :smile2:

Good video Wayne
Also after all the chemical exposure certain things on me have shrunk but definitely not my height.

But then there is allways cleavidge hanging out compared to snatch.:smile2:

How do you know? You haven't been that low since you were 10 years old :)

Actually with some of the ladies I've seen in shopping centres of late I'd pretty sure they'd have just as much hanging out down low as up top...

The other one to consider for the Patrol is the TJM Pro-Locker (nee Jack Mc)
It's a nicer/stronger locker than the ARB IMO but the price we pay here for both is :dizzy: when you see what they pay in the US for something made/assembled here. :msp_rolleyes:

Which I/C Al ?

Rights duno about that.

Some times i wish i was shorter, would be easyer to pic up wood off the ground and not as far to bend when cuttin wood on the ground.

But then i see more cleavidge than most.

The one time being tall sucks is when crawling through roof or underfloor spaces, oh, and trying to fit into certain cars, and we tend to get smacked around the head a little more by inanimate objects or at least that's my excuse for being short a few brain cells :D
