Nice tree, shame it had to come down.
Spotty hey,,,, yea well my best advice is simple, ''cut it up yourself'', no need for super a doper chingaling 070 (with BIG improvements to a big bore 090 top) for that job.

Neil,If you happen to be in my neighborhood tomorrow with your race saws drop over :D

I'm making progress, this is a fair lump of wood plus 38c soon wears me down, but after a few beers feeling good now.
Hopefully I'll have most of It knocked off tomorrow, although not looking forward to 43c.

Nice pics. That's 40+°C warmer than it is up here right now, and we're having a heat wave! Any of you Aussies ever see the film "Grumpy Old Men"? It was filmed about 25 miles from my house.

You will soon eat it up with that big old 166 dolly, good to see a decent chain and bar on those saws.
I've been ripping posts for nearly 2 weeks now in a log yard with 3120's and a 395, fun is about the best way to describe the job. The big saws are vaporising badly in the afternoon as well, great when there going but bloody hard to start once stopped.
Great training but its hurting as well.

oh,,,, spotted gum boards in 4'' and 6'' are selling well at present, but your going to have a yard full of borers next year when that spotty starts drying out. Just now I could use a block full of nice clean spotty.

Nice work Wayne! Lucky you can still run saws in town, I can't even look at firewood let alone start a saw here in the bush. But 40C+ is a bit hot for sawring anyway lol.

That is cold!

And that's my dads favourite movie! haha. Would love to visit WI someday.

nice score gmax!! neighbors will be loving you for the next day or two lol. would have been handy if we were closer! thats a fair bit of wood.

I wish you were here with your saws as well, being 43c I can only cut for 1/2 at at time before I need a drink break.
The neighbors won't mind....I've done free tree work for them, I 'll do some more cutting after tea what doesn't get done can wait
until Monday when it's cooler 25c :)

The pile is gradually shrinking, I'm now using my Makita 6401 BB, I couldn't be stuffed lifting a larger saw :D

The feeling is mutual. Australia is on my short list of overseas places I'd like to go.

like a nun ...been floatin around in pool all day, hotter tomoz aparently. got the old girl ready to go incase **** hits the fan

Neat IH! I've never seen that hood style over here. Most had the "butterfly" side opening hood, some of the later models had the tilt forward hood. What motor?
