if u get their flash new one, yes dearer. but the older style of theirs is cheaper than a treg hitch from what i have found so far.. and yeah i like the idea if it being clunkless.

Is that what you use? Are they any good? Lol on a more serious note I'm looking at grinders who uses em and and what's a good one to go for? I'm looking at the Oregon 511ax or maybe a chinga copy if there of an ok build quality

If you want a Speed Sharp let me know. Made by Tecomec in Italy and the same as the Oregon, just red not black. I do good deal long time.

Don't be too hard on them Matt, they were just trying to help.
He probably thought you never knew a chainsaw chain could be sharpened.

They're not trying to help at all. Just trying to be know all ******s.
They probably read in a book that blunt chains throw dust. Books obviously not written for Australian hardwood :)

I see, this discussion has been had before, on line experts with incredible skills and knowledge.

Something a little different.
We had a new Efco saw in the arena last sat, as I know the owner / builder / competitor I was given the opportunity to have a little look see at it. It isn't finished yet but goes ok and was out of the 1st 3 placing this time, next time it may place in its class.

The big fella is back in the arena after surgery, good to see Dean competing again and get a win.

This will make you laugh Matty 2,,,,, I do have an ozito grinder from Bunning's, use it couple time a week for my log yard saws.
I normally grind a chain after work / night and its ok for that job.
There are much better quality grinders on the market and that's your choice depending on your needs.

Race chains ???? yea well they are not ground.

Just had another "sharpen your chain" comment on YouTube. If I'd have been cutting Pine instead of Casuarina I wouldn't have to put up with Northern Hemisphere softwood know alls...

They always associate dust with a blunt chain.

There's a reason why Hawaiians call Aussie Casuarina 'Ironwood'

Just found the vid Matt, shame I cant comment, just couldn't be arsed signing up !

I am on the east coast and usually its the North Westerlies that create the most damage to trees, however the last storm came through from the South East. The combination of driving rain and violent wind gusts was enuff to blow over some well established trees. Pleased to report that the fence is now cleared of all debris and only had to bend back into shape 3 waratahs.

This style of thing Neil ? That's how I do all my semi chisel safety race chains and I'm the fastest bloke in the street! I actually have one like that but it sloppy in the hinge and the clamp to hold the chain is rooted and the right cutters are allways longer then the left so I have to do one side twice
