Well that's what happens when your recon goes all horribly wrong and ya ass is left swinging in the breeze our mustering flew with RAAF 9 Sqn as Door-gunners dragging out their sorry ***** which if left where the were would have been hastly turned into chop sueie many of my mate's got hurt and killed on those extractions the SAS is suppose to see and report and not be seen.

The traditional role of the SAS is observation but they were also instructed to ambush VC patrols in Vietnam as well. Pretty hard to not be seen when you're shooting at them. That is why more SAS guys started getting killed in Afghanistan because they started taking on more of a Commando type role.

They may be considered primitive tribesmen but gee they have been at it a long time most look like mountain goats and proberly are so whether you SAS or Commando they wouldn't know the difference

Their whole life they've been shooting at enemies. They know every hidey hole and can tell when a grain of dirt is out of place. Our main advantage is aerial surveillance and fire support, night vision, and the fact we know how to shoot.
For every bad story the allies have (like in Lone Survivor), the afghans could run 1000 Hollywood movies on the amount of arsekickings they've gotten back. Unfortunately in a war against the "infidels" nearly every Muslim on earth feels obligated to flood into Afghanistan to help out. Numbers never run out no matter how many you knock over. The other problem is that they don't have any real identity and blend in with the general population. If we could fight by the same rules they do we'd be doing a lot better.

Yea and every bloke would want to drive both.

Watching ''Lone Survivor'' on my PC, not a bad movie based on a true story from last year, worth looking at if you like modern war movies.
It shows how quick things can go from bad to oh my god in no time at all.

Tryed to watch on utube no good, copy wright so on bull ****.

Trouble is we're just another silly country and like the rest will get our ***** kicked how many nations have failed and for what ? It's their country let em have it.

I agree but the problem is that the bastards were using that country as a training ground and a safe zone then the western world were silly enough to let the pricks come in on holiday. I have no problem with them killing themselves. Doesn't worry me at all actually.

Just remember that Jakmax are now importing the long Tsumuras at a cracker price too and they'll hang with an ES all day long. The ES bars are right up there though, no doubt about it but are spendy.
